Ich habe den Nutfräser in einem Fräsständer eingesetzt. Dabei mußte ich mit der Fräse sehr dicht an das Werkstück fahren konnte den Arbeitsvorgang nur eingeschränkt überwachen. Die in Nadelholz gefräste Nut hatte eine zufriedenstellende Qualität.

Für Massivholz gut geeignet, insbesondere Weichhölzer. Für Spanplatten oder andere Plattenwerkstoffe eher nicht zu empfehlen.

Not sure this cuts any cleaner than a straight cutter but it does work well

So far so good, only drilled about 20 or so holes for my MFT top. Leaves a nice clean cut on 18 mm mdf, no tear out even without sacrificial board underneath

This is a wonderful bit for making 20mm holes in any kind of wood :hard,soft, ply , mdf and the likes.Leaves a nice clean silky smooth surface, and although I have used it only a handful of times , for now it seems the bit stays as true and sharp as when it arrived.I used this for making a template for a non standard sized n shaped mortise n tenon.I hooked it up to my spectacular OF2200 using an 8mm collet…admittedly at first I plunged at almost max speed on the router( around 5, 20,000 RPM)but that left some burn marks on the workpiece and just a little on the edges of the bit itself.After getting a better understanding of these kinds of boring bits from info on the net, I took it down to 2 ( 12,000 RPM I think)or so… it performed much much better!No burn marks, and it actually went through a lot quicker n smoother with a lot less resistance than at the higher speed. I do a lot of edge banding and exclusively use Festool equipment but lately our local dealer has been having a hard time getting Festool products in stock as is most of the dealers in the U.S. so I turned to Amazon and although I pay slightly more through their vendors, I get the products I'm looking quicker than if I ordered and waited to get them from my local dealer. The edge banding router bits are a must have for making clean, perfect, repeatable trims every time.

This is the bit to makeaccurate/tight 20mm dog holes for mft benchtops. It's as good a fit as the original top of my MFT3.Just clean it often, as I found it gummed up cutting mdf half way through making of a top and left black streaks in the hole (though didn't affect fit of the holes, just aesthetics).

Leider kosten qualitativ hochwertige fräser ein kleines Vermögen, jedoch bekommt man dafür wirklich ein ganz anderes fräsbild als bei den billigen. Vorallem die standzeit ist um ein Vielfaches höher! Festool liefert da wirklich profiqualität in einem akzeptablen Preis Leistungssegment! Das fräsbild ist überragend, auf jeder Geschwindigkeit kann mit hohem Vorschub gearbeitet werden, die Kanten sind mega sauber. Wüsste nicht was bei einem doppelt so teurer fräser noch besser sein könnte! Klare kaufempfehlung!
