Festool bits are SHARP and durable. I like the finish on the holes and the size is spot-on. They are NOT cheap, but I've had some well over 10 years and they are good as new after sharpening. Really good steel. I especially like their brad-point wood drills. They are exceptional, performing better than a premium set I purchased back when USA drills were top-notch. I which there were more sizes available. I cheat some holes by substituting metric drills which fall between the imperial sizes. Works great for wood where you can afford a little slop. They do not import imperial size standard twist drills, only the brad-point wood drills.

I, possibly like you, wondered why a single drill bit should cost so much when a multipack of bits from elsewhere can be had for the same. Well, my 3mm drill bit in my old multipack didn't even manage to cut a single hole in a piece of hardwood before it was blunt. This thing drilled 50+ holes and you wouldn't know I'd used it. So if you've got a lot of pilot holes to drill this is a no-brainer.
