I was hesitant to buy these, but I decided to take a chance rather than buy new barstools. They were pretty easy to change out and work perfectly. I hope they hold up another 15 years.

I purchased 3 of these swivels to replace the hardware in our captain's chairs (bar stools) for the kitchen island. The bearings had fallen out of the old swivels that came with the chairs and these swivels gave those chairs new life. I would definitely use these again. Now the swivel action of those chairs is nice and smooth again.

For my use in a meccano crane the swivel was a little stiff so I "washed" it out with a few squirts of WD40which improved matters. You would not need to do this for its intended purpose!

High quality parts, were easy enough to install, look and feel secure lifting a 500 lb Murphy bed up and down no problem, much cheaper than a Murphy bed kit, I would definitely recommend these if your looking for a relatively cheap solution.
