Grabbed this to upgrade the desk setup and it’s actually been pretty solid. Right out of the box, the RGB lighting gives it a nice gaming vibe without being too flashy. It looks clean next to my rig and adds a little personality to the desk.Performance wise, it’s about what I expected. The sound quality is clear for gaming, Discord chats, and casual streaming. Not super pro studio level, but definitely more than good enough for daily use. The mute button and gain control on the mic itself are super handy, and I’ve used them way more than I thought I would. The red light indicator for mute is a ton better than a tiny red light often overlooked on a previous mic.No complaints so far. It’s easy to set up (plug and play via USB), looks great, and sounds clean. For the price, this makes a great pickup for anyone gaming, streaming, or jumping into some casual content creation. I just wish there was a super-long USB cable included for usage on a mic boom/arm.

Solid entry level desktop microphone, worked first try on plug in without any problems. The little stand that comes with it is pretty much useless as this microphone isn't that sensitive, you would need to lean down to talk in to this. Luckily the mic has a standard thread mount in the base and I was able to attach it to a mic arm. I'm using the mic for guests that stop by when I'm streaming, so they have their own mic and sound track. The sound quality is decent for a beginner mic, and the guests voice sound fine without any noticeable distortion.

I wanted a mic for content creation and for doing voiceovers. I am enjoying using this mic so far. I always get concerned about my mic sounding like I'm underwater or that I'm in a tin can. So far, I'm digging the output. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

Update: May 28th, 2025:Unfortunately, the microphone is either failing or is defective.I'm now getting popping noises when recording, and there's crackling static at the beginning of whatever it is that I record. This is forcing me to re-record almost everything. I tried a different microphone on the computer I'm using it with, and the other one does not exhibit these issues. I'd probably stay away from this microphone, as it's just another cheap product that will fail within a few weeks, after you cannot return it. Quite unfortunate.Original review:I was looking for a new microphone to occasionally replace another one that needs recharging, which I will use mainly to record segments for my YouTube videos. While the other one has very good recording quality, it needs to be recharged and is a pain when you need to use it right away. When I saw this microphone, I liked the design, so I decided to go with it. So far, I'm not disappointed. The microphone comes decently packed. It is actually called the HK2. And that's how the computer recognizes it.It comes already attached to its stand, and there's a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box, as well as an instruction sheet. The microphone tilts by pivoting in the middle. Features are sparse - there's just a volume knob and a mute button. There also a series of 10 bars that light up in blue according to the sound it is picking up, which is kind of nice. And, there's the RGB light band that goes around the microphone. However, I don't think you can change the color. But, when it's muted, it is red. When i hooked it up to my computer, it immediately recognized it. On my first recording, I was somewhat impressed by the recording quality. It's almost as good as my other "studio quality" microphone with more features, but as I said, requires recharging. I recorded voiceovers for my current YouTube video I am working on, and it's seems pretty good for that purpose. Sound is sharp and clear. Maybe a slight hint of background noise if you really look for it, but it doesn't really seem noticeable.More than half of the microphone is plastic, but the part that you speak into is metal, which is nice. This is basically a "no-frills" microphone with no special effects. But I like it so far, and it's good to have a mic that I don't need to recharge. Additionally, you can mount it on a standard audio device thread on a swing arm, if you don't want to use the included stand.Overall, it seems like a decent audio device that hopefully, will last a good long while.

This is a good starter mic if you like gaming and are not ready, or interested in spending a ton of money to make videos or chat with friends. It doesn't have a ton of features, but the audio i recorded, with my basic windows 11 recorder was very clear. If you have better software, I'm sure it would work well. It'd definitely do fine if you have a lot of zoom calls. Things to keep in mind, you need to plug it in to a USB. This is definitely meant for a computer. It mentioned downloading drivers, but I saw no pop-ups. It just started working right away. When on you get rgb, you can mute and unsure, up your volume, and mute background a bit. Though I did not test that last one.Personally, I'll likely use it for the reasons stated above. It has a screw hole for a moveable mic stand at the bottom, and an audio input for head phones. That way you can hear what you sound like as you do it. As I didn't have my head phones out, I had to unplug the mic, to hear the recording after. That is something to note, as long as it's plugged in, you can't hear anything from your computer it seems. You might need to figure out headphones and settings for that. All in all, it seems like a good product.
