Happy Salmon: Grab & Game Edition is a quick travel game for 3-5 players. Each player gets a stack of cards. Every card has a simple action that requires a partner. Players frantically shout their actions looking for matching players. When they find a match, they both complete the action and discard their used cards. The first player to finish the actions on all of their cards wins!

These "Grab and Game" boxes are slightly stripped down versions of a full game. There is actually a card inside the box that provides a discount to upgrade to the full version if you want. I now have two of these "grab and game" versions and it seems like these versions primarily have fewer cards (which may mean they support less players) and they may not include optional accessories (like play mats) that might come with the full version. Otherwise, it appears to be the same game. I found the card material felt a bit thin and light so I'm not sure if the card quality suffers slightly in these "grab and game" versions. Regardless, the cards themselves looked good with nice sharp and bold print.As for the game, it's hard to call this a card game. If it isn't obvious, it doesn't have anything in common with the actual "Exploding Kittens" game. The cards direct you to perform a certain action with someone else among the group of participating players. You can only perform this action with another player who has drawn a card with the same action. The idea is to perform the actions and move on to your next card as quickly as possible in order to be the first person to empty their hand. It's chaotic, and loud, and admittedly enjoyable and funny. It's not at all complicated, it doesn't really require any sort of mental strategy, and it can be picked up by anyone in minutes.It's a fun, quick, silly party game and of course it has the same charm as most of the Exploding Kittens games.

I actually ordered two "Grab & Game" games, "Happy Salmon" and "Why are you like this". Both of these games offer unique and hilarious game play.In my family we are big fans of Exploding Kitten games, they are often unique and hilarious. Happy Salmon fits that very well and is really fun to play while being super simple and easy to pick up. This game is great for just about any age group and requires very little explanation. The goal of the game is to be the first out of the group to get rid of all your cards. To get rid of cards you need to "shout" out the action listed on the cards while listening to other players for one who might be shouting out the same action. Once a match is found, you both preform the action and discard that card. The game ends when one person has discarded all their cards.This quickly turns into hilarious chaos, especially with a group of five. Everyone around the table reaching over each other to preform the action while sometimes switching spots with other players and shouting the required action. Each game can be played fairly quickly as everyone plays at the same time, no turns. I really like that the game can be enjoyed by younger kids all the way to seniors and all without complicated rules or game board."Why are you like this" is a game that requires the player to use different skill to get their partner to guess words. The catch is that a card is drawn giving the player the restrictions on how they can make their partner guess. The card will either be a "Talk", "Draw", and/or "Gesture" card but also has extra requirements which is what makes the game super funny. Seeing the different and silly ways the players navigate the game with the given restrictions is just great!Both of these games are "Grab & Game" version of the game so they are a bit more compact, I think this is great to take with us camping or on vacation.

I absolutely love Exploding Kittens; they always make such fun and engaging family games! The Happy Salmon Grab & Game Edition is no exception. It's quick to learn and a ton of fun to play, whether you're with kids or adults. The rules are simple, but the game itself is full of energy and laughter as players try to match actions like high-fives, fist bumps, and the signature "Happy Salmon" move. It's the perfect game for family game nights or gatherings with friends. Plus, it's compact enough to bring along on trips, making it even more versatile. Highly recommend this one for anyone looking for a lighthearted and interactive game!

This game arrived the next day via Amazon Prime and was packaged in simple shrink wrap.-This is not simply an expansion set for Exploding Kittens and is its own stand alone game.-This game plays faster than Exploding Kittens and the pace makes it so that it is more fun when you have a larger number of players. I find this helps a lot to keep the attention of younger players and the game experience will likely be affected by group size.-This has considerable replay value especially if your play groups switch up frequently.-A good ice breaker or dinner party game.-I think the asking price of $14 CAD is rather reasonable.-Unlike some other games from Exploding kittens (e.g. Horrible Therapist), this one is appropriate for a wider selection of ages.CONS-I wish the card materials were more robust.-This can be quite a loud game which personally I prefer.-This game is not completely original and feels like a carbon copy of a different game that I have played.

This game is really fun to play. Great for game night or to use as an ice breaker. The price point is very fair and would make a great gift!
