Have been looking for thick bar tape for a while now and have tried most of the stuff out there. Have been double wrapping my bars since 2006, but with the advent of "gravel" tape thought would try some so could get away with just using one.Tried the LZ 4.6mm tape and that was fine, but still a bit thin especially in the drops and felt just like normal cork tape , so was sceptical when got this 3.5mm tape, but it far exceeds the thickness of the LZ tape. This tape immedialy felt like double wrapped bars.As the tape is a bit harder to wrap, especially the figure of 8, under the shifters, i removed the sticky back (i always do this anyway), as this gave me a few goes at getting it neat and tidy and does not hamper performance.Tape is great on the road/dirt and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

This tape is thick, comfortable, and grippy. Install was pretty straight forward, used the cut piece for the hoods instead of the figure 8 wrap as instructed by Ergo and turned it out nice, I had about 6" left over on each bar. I was surprised how much thicker this tape is than the stock Canyon tape that came with the bike. Used to wear gloves but didn't today and it was just as comfortable. About 20 miles mixed tarmac and gravel and hands felt great after ride. Seems like good stuff, definitely easy on the hands.

Das Band fühlt sich gut an und lässt sich trotz der Dicke gut wickeln. Dämpfung und der dadurch dickere Lenker sind wie gewünscht und angenehm.Allerdings: die Länge des Bands ist relativ knapp. Das Wickeln mit 2/3 Überlappung (wie es zur besseren Dämpfung in der Anleitung empfohlen wird) kann man nur auf einem kurzen Stück umsetzen, sonst reicht das Band nicht.Es wird für den Preis ja möglich sein, einfach ausreichend Band für die beworbene Wicklung zu liefern.
