you can use this umbrella mount to attach your patio umbrella to your deck railing. This is made for standard 4x4" posts, but it still worked with my 2.5" square posts. I wish they made a version for that, but I have yet to see one.This is a space saver. You no longer need a large base under your umbrella. In fact, in our case, moving the umbrella to the edge of the deck has increased the coverage of the umbrella because the sun always tracks in a direction that shade from the umbrella is towards the house. Moving the umbrella to the post has given us a few extra feet of shade.I was really impressed with the build quality on this umbrella mount. The powder coated finish is well done and the included hardware is all polished stainless steel which should last a long time in the elements. The mount comes with adapters to fit several size umbrella poles. In use, we've found this mount stands up easily to the wind.Installation was easy, just two brackets onto the fence post and install the proper adapter to hold the umbrella pole. Tighten the set screws. Done.

The weather has really started to get nice the last few days, and we’re looking forward to some nice summer days ahead. For our upstairs patio deck we needed a way to hold a smaller size, 7’ beach umbrella against the railing. I had temporarily used a wood clamp to put it up a couple days before receiving this heavy duty patio umbrella holder. This is the perfect solution for what we needed. The deck where we are at has a guard railing that is a short section of steel bar balusters over a lower stucco wall. So, the short top railing was able accommodate the umbrella holder, and the included sleeve. I was not sure if the tube that holds the umbrella was going to be too long and hit the lower stucco wall, but it does have room with the mounting brackets to mount at a slight angle to fit the situation.It went together assembled to the railing in about five minutes, only requiring a couple wrenches to tighten the tow bolts between the tube and brackets. The tube can easily be installed and removed from a railing without any tools, as it’s held in place by thumb screws.This is a great way to keep the narrow deck free from any large cumbersome umbrella stand. It gets the umbrella pole/ center of the umbrella on the railing line. The tube can accommodate different size umbrellas, and is quite sturdy with its mounting design, and pole securing thumb bolts.This is a great solution for securing a patio umbrella on a deck guard railing.

This is a well made mount that offers incredible stability for almost any umbrella pole or umbrella size. I have ordered stuff like this in the past and it has come with painted over mill scale and rust all over it, as well as, scratches and nicks in the finish so I wasn’t expecting to receive a professionally and properly produced item in MINT condition. I found no defects or errors applied during the manufacturing process and the product was pristine upon arrival. The brackets fits a standard 4x4 post EASILY with room to spare and it includes a variety of spacers to use to make sure the pole size being inserted is held properly.I really like the design of this one and the standoff that is incorporated so that the umbrella pole clears any type of railing cap and doesn’t rest or rub on the railing during breezy or windy weather. This thing is solid and has held up without breaking a sweat during windy days and storms and I am very happy with what I received. I would order this again and I would absolutely recommend this if you are in need of an umbrella mount that is SOLID and offers a “set it and forget it” type of mentality. I love that once installed the umbrella can be repositioned and messed with indefinitely and it does not affect the integrity of the mount and the mount stays put.This one is a winner in my book and it does everything I wanted it to do and it looks great doing it. Oh, and it was properly manufactured and came the way I expect things like this to come and it wasn’t covered in painted over mill scale and rust on the inside. This one is good to go and I would order this one again with confidence.

As other reviewers have noted, this is fantastic. It is literally the "mac daddy" of Umbrella holders. I had a metal horizontal railing which is extremely long and only 4 feet wide and I was tired of having four umbrella stands taking up so much space so I could get enough shade during the hot Los Angeles summers as there are zero trees. When I saw a different umbrella holder, I jumped and ordered as it was one of the only ones that specified it could also work for a horizontal railing. That holder was comprised of brackets and screws and honestly, I was quite impressed, and it works just fine. But I still needed another one. I found this one and decided to give it a try, although I did think it was a tad expensive. Let me tell you it is worth every penny. This is not a bunch of brackets holding the umbrella pole. This is a strong, solid, heavy metal tube that envelopes the umbrella pole giving it a clean look and not budging an inch. I LOVE that it really can accommodate a wide variety of size umbrella poles, and that it was so easy to mount. I didn't have to screw a bunch of brackets together, it is all one sturdy piece and then you just have your screws to secure the umbrella pole. If you are looking for a way to mount your umbrella without drilling holes or taking up floor space, if you have winds or weather and need to ensure your umbrella will stay exactly as you intended, get this umbrella mount!

I like to spend time on my back deck with my family and find that patio umbrella help keep the hot sun off of us. So, I decided to do a search for another holder for a patio umbrella as we have 2 but only one holder. I happen to come across this Dolibest Heavy Duty Patio Umbrella Holder, Steel Deck Clamp Holder up to 2'' Umbrella Pole, Deck Mount Umbrella Holder, Space Saving Design, Attaches to Railing Max Width 2-inch, Easy Installation on Vine and seeing how it installs on my deck railing I decided to try it out. I'm glad I did as the holder fits perfectly between my pizza oven and grill on my deck railing giving me some cool shade while I cook. I like how it takes up very little space on my deck. I like how the steel construction feels incredibly sturdy, and it holds our 2" umbrella pole with no wobble at all even on windy days. I like how easy it was to install with the simple secure clamps. And I like how it keeps the umbrella where I want it and gives me some extra shade on my deck. Definitely a well-made, durable, sturdy and easy to install Heavy Duty Patio Umbrella Holder that works great on my back deck. 5 out of 5 stars.
