4. Apple-Laptop verlängert nur einen Monitor. Einige Macbooks mit Mojave unterstützen nur einen einzigen externen Monitor über USB-C. Der Non-Mirror-Modus kann nur 3 doppelte (gespiegelte) externe Monitore unterstützen. Ein Windows-Laptop könnte einen Monitor schwarz werden lassen. Die Intel-Grafikkarte unterstützt nur 3 Monitore MST-Dreifachanzeige, so dass einer von vier Monitoren nicht angezeigt wird.
5. Wenn die HDMI-Monitore für 2-4 Sekunden schwarz werden und sich dann wieder erholen, ist dies normal. Es handelt sich um einen Prozess der EDID-Kommunikation (EDID = Extended Display Identification Data), bei dem der Bildschirm für einige Sekunden schwarz werden kann. Die Wiederherstellungszeit hängt von Laptop und Monitor ab (max. 1 Minute).
6.Der Laptop-Ausgang muss DP1.4 unterstützen. Die Auflösung ist auf 1080P begrenzt, wenn der Bildschirm oder das Kabel die DisplayPort 1.4-Spezifikationen nicht unterstützt.
7. NUR wenn Ihre Geräte eine 4K Auflösung unterstützen, beträgt die Videoausgabe 4K. Verwenden Sie ein HDMI 2.0-Kabel oder ein höheres Kabel.

I felt like it was a very confusing process to find a dock like this for a reasonable price that would definitely work and be a simple plug and play option with my M1 Macbook Pro. This did the trick. No fuss, everything works, and I'm happy. My only slight complaint is that the attached cable is too short if you put your laptop on a stand, but that's just my personal problem. I just wish the cable was a bit longer.

Le principe est super. la seule connextion du port USB C permet de gerer plusieurs écrans, casque, souris, ...Le port USBC PD ( Power Delivery) est appréciable car nous pouvons aussi charger le PCLe problème est que le matériel chauffe énormément et en plein travail, j'ai la perte de l'affichage d'un écran ou d'un port USB ( devient génant quand c'est le casque en pleincommunication)Après une pause et tout redevient normal.Dommage.

Compré este Dock para poder conectar mis 2 pantallas y los perifericos de mi ordenador, de manera que me permitiera cambiar rapidamente todo entre mi ordenador de sobremesa personal, y el portatil del trabajo.Al conectarlo a mi ordenador personal, ha funcionado a la perfección. Mi ordenador tiene puerto Thunderbolt 4, y me ha permitido conectar una pantalla a 1080p@60hz y la otra pantalla a 2k@100Hz. Decir que esta segunda pantalla conectada con un cable DisplayPort normal da un máximo de 165Hz, con este dock solo me ha permitido 100 aunque sinceramente es más de lo que esperaba.Sin embargo, a la hora de usar el dock con el portatil del trabajo (cuenta con Thunderbolt 3), la pantalla 2K solo me permitía usarla a unos nimios 24Hz, lo cual hace basicamente que sea inutilizable. Por esta razón he decidido devolver el producto, aunque por supuesto le dejo una buena valoración ya que la experiencia al conectarlo en mi ordenador personal fue perfecta, y está claro que el problema al conectarlo al portatil es del portatil, y no del dock.

It has some trouble with internet sometimes, and HDMI is sometimes hit or miss. But all in all it works. I have 2, the one I have at my office never had issues and always works. The one I have at home works most of the time, but when a lot of data is going though it (1 display + USB + Internet) it gets a bit hot.

Not a lot to complain about on this docking station (DS).Does a solid job ie performs comparable to devices four times the price and three times as big (from the form factor) and does all of it without the need of an external power adapter, so is also very portable. I purchased this as a replacement for a BIG TIME disappoint from a Dell WD19TBS docking station - totally overpriced enormous piece of absolute garbage, that was.One "CON" I would needs to mention on this DS, and the reason for initially removing stars - the tech spec is not precise enough when it comes to the requirements regarding multiple display resolution.What does that mean? Means that if you look at the advertised multi-display capabilities you are in for a surprise on WINDOS 10 when you connect a monitor with DP1.2 (in my case a DELL P3421 running on resolution: 3440x1440) instead of DP1.4 to the DisplayPort (DP) output of the station; you will then find out - the "hard" way (ie by means of mail discussion with their admittedly very friendly and forthcoming tech support) - that this [DP1.2] is supposedly - "supposedly" since I was not able to check if true b/c I am lacking a DP1.4 monitor to test with - the cause for my 4K display (a LG27UN83A) attached to the docking stations HDMI output to get scaled DOWN to 1920x1080 (so say good bye to 4K on your 4K monitor).I have fiddled around with all possible/available combinations, so both on HDMI outputs, one on HDMI one on DP, one monitor on USB-C and the other on HDMI or DP switching them etc., etc.Nothing could convince the DS to turn my 4K monitor into 4K resolution.What surprises me and makes me somewhat doubt the tech support info is that this scaling down also happens when there is no DP port interface involved in any way - so eg when I connect the Dell monitor directly to the laptops thunderbolt port and the LGs USB-C cable to the DSs USB-C port it still cannot scale up? So therefore minus two stars - better safe than sorry for anyone coming here reading this review to form an opinion.Another interesting detail is that if you select to "just duplicate" (instead of extend) the display (in the Windows 10 Display settings) to the 4K monitor it then achieves 4K res, of course also if you plug it in standalone.So I guess if you have a multi monitor setup which is still only DP1.2 - if I believe the tech support - than this is a "5 STAR plus" piece of equipment if you have a setup like mine it could mean that it makes your 4K monitor time-travel 10 years into the past.. so this would mean at least 2 STARS reduction BUT I would need to give them one STAR back because it is not really their fault that DELL was selling a piece of junk (I mean come on DP1.2 version in a 2021 monitor) to me!UPDATE: I had to UPGRADE my RATING TO ABSOLUTELY DESERVED 5 STARS - TUNRS OUT 4K becomes AVAILABLE AFTER doing an UPGRADE TO WINDOWS11 (from WIN10 Pro in my case), and since that was basically the only (albeit) major FLAW I COUD FIND on this DS -> THEY DEFINITELY DESERVE 5 STARS now!PLUS the Utechsmart (customer) support (this goes out to you Shirly) is 10/10 - they even offered refunds for not being satisfied, which I definitely am now, with full expected functionality at hand!!! iMHO the best portable USB-C hub out there at the moment!

Deutsch:Ich benötigte eine solche Dockingstation bzw. Hub für meinen Arbeitslaptop um meine Peripherie anzuschließen.Die wichtigsten Merkmale waren hierbei, dass ich mindestens 1x Displayport, 1x HDMI und einen Gbit-LAN-Anschluss benötigte. Beide Anforderungen erfüllte das Produkt im Vergleich zu anderen, welche meist mit 2x HDMI und 1x VGA kommen.Seit gestern habe ich es im Einsatz und kann mich bisher keines Wegs darüber beschweren. 1x Displayport (1080p 60 Hz) + 1x HDMI (1080p 60 Hz) funktionieren tadellos als eigenständige Monitore (kein Spiegeln des Bildes) ebenso wie der LAN-Anschluss.Auch die versprochenen 45 °C werden eingehalten. Während des Betriebes mit der oben genannten Konfiguration erreicht die Gehäuseaußenseite ca. 42 °C. Bisher konnte ich noch keine Leistungseinbrüche bzw. sonstige Probleme dadurch feststellen.Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht ganz optimal, da andere Dockingstations/Hubs mit ähnlicher Ausstattung (abzüglich des Displayport-Anschlusses) ca. 30 bis 50 Euro kosten. Daher empfinde ich nicht das 20 bis 30 Euro mehr den Displayport-Anschluss rechtfertigen. Wie aber bereits genannt, war es eine Voraussetzung und diese Dockingstation/Hub ist eine der wenigen günstigeren dieser Art.English:I needed such a docking station or hub for my work laptop to connect my peripherals.The most important features were that I needed at least 1x Displayport, 1x HDMI and a Gbit LAN port. The product met both requirements compared to others, which usually come with 2x HDMI and 1x VGA.I've been using it since yesterday and can't complain about it at all so far. 1x Displayport (1080p 60 Hz) + 1x HDMI (1080p 60 Hz) work flawlessly as standalone monitors (no mirroring of the image) as does the LAN port.The promised 45 °C are also met. The case's exterior reaches about 42 °C during operation with the aforementioned configuration. So far, I have not noticed any performance drops or other problems.The price-performance ratio is not quite optimal, since other docking stations/hubs with similar features (minus the Displayport port) cost about 30 to 50 Euros. Therefore, I do not feel that 20 to 30 Euros more justify the Displayport port. However, as already mentioned, it was a requirement and this docking station/hub is one of the few cheaper ones of its kind.
