If you're only using this display for output, and not using the touch screen, then this is a nice display. The fact that this is a touch screen is nice, but the touch input isn't technically part of the display, but an overlay that goes on top of the display. Because of this fact, the touch screen needs to be calibrated, to compensate for slight differences in tolerances between displays. Also, resistive touch screens don't respond to physical touch as nicely as capacative touch screens do. If you're not using the touch feature of this display a lot, this might be fine, but if you need a display that will be touched all the time, you might have better results with a capacative touch screen.

Der Versand und die Verpackung von Amazon sind wie immer Top.Das 3,5-Zoll-TFT-LCD-Display von DIYmall, speziell entworfen für Arduino UNO und auch mit dem Arduino Mega 2560 kompatibel, stellt eine sinnvolle Erweiterung für diverse Projekte dar. Die einfache Integration wird jedoch durch unklare Anweisungen und das Fehlen von Links zu Hilfs- oder Produktseiten für Anfänger erschwert.Nach umfassender Recherche stellte sich heraus, dass zur Steuerung dieses Displays die Bibliotheken MCUFriend_KBV und Adafruit_GFX notwendig sind. Zu beachten ist, dass die Adafruit-Bibliothek nicht optimal auf größere Displays wie den ILI9486 abgestimmt ist. Trotz des Mangels an ausführlicher Dokumentation überzeugt das Display selbst durch eine solide Verarbeitungsqualität. Mit einer Auflösung von 480x320 und einer handlichen 3,5-Zoll-Größe ist die Anzeige praktisch und gut einsetzbar.Die Helligkeit und Lebendigkeit des Displays sind durchschnittlich, wobei die TFT-LCD-Technologie dazu neigt, die Farben etwas zu verschwimmen. Verbesserungspotenzial besteht bei den Betrachtungswinkeln. Das Touch-Display funktioniert zuverlässig, obwohl es sich um resistive Technologie handelt, wobei präzise Bedienung den beigefügten Stift erfordert.Insgesamt eignet sich das DIYmall ILI9486 Display gut für Projekte, die eine Kombination aus Text und Grafiken oder eine grafische Benutzeroberfläche mit Touch-Eingabe erfordern. Das 3.5 Zoll TFT/LCD Touch-Display kommt in einer Einweg-ESD-Schutzverpackung. Es macht von Material und Verarbeitung einen guten Eindruck. Ein kleiner Stift zur Bedienung des Touch-Screens gehört zum Lieferumfang. Leider liefert der Verkäufer keinerlei Information zum Hersteller, bzw. zur Inbetriebnahme. Das Modul basiert auf dem ILI9486Chip und kann in der Arduino-IDE mit den TFT_eSPI Sketches getestet werden.

Habe das Display mit der MCUFRIEND_kbv-Library an einem Arduino Mega2560 getestet. Funktioniert einwandfrei bis auf die Touchfunktion. in einer äußeren Ecke des Displays befindet sich leider ein toter Bereich (ca. 30x30 Pixel). In der von mir geplanten Anwendung ist ich der Bereich zum Glück unkritisch, da er nur für Ausgaben verwendet werden soll, dennoch unschön. Daher nur 3 Sterne.

Unlike other similar screens this screen is solid and you can use it for more user based projects, works well with touch and pen and i concur with the comments above re libraries.

The DIYmall ILI9486 3.5" TFT LCD Display is almost the same dimensions as Arduino UNO and sits atop the Arduino board. The display is also compatible with the Arduino Mega 2560. There are no instructions provided and no links to any help or product site. Because of the lack of available documentation, this display is more for enthusiasts and not beginners.I was able to find some information about this display and you will need the MCUFRIEND_kbv and Adafruit_GFX libraries to control this display. The Adafruit library doesn’t support larger displays like the ILI9486. The display itself has a good build quality. The 480x320 is very usable given the small 3.5" size. The brightness is average as is vibrancy. Since it is a TFT LCD, the colours can look washed out and the viewing angles are not good. The touch display works fine but since it is resistive and not capacitive, using the included stylus is a must for more precise use. But for many projects, this display can work well if you need to display a mixture of text and graphics, or display a graphical interface or application with touch input.

I'll start off by saying that when I first got this screen, I could not get the touchscreen to work regardless of many things I tried. Turns out there's a good reason for that, I was sent a non-touch screen version. I reached out the DIYmalls support where they confirmed that I received a non-touch screen version. On the product page, they had the non-touch screen version pictured but as of this review they have since updated the product images.I also bought another similar TFT touchscreen from a different company to see if the issue with the touchscreen was with my code or with the device and confirmed that it was with the device. Also, even though these two screens from different companies looks very similar, there are a few differences.The dimensions of the graphical portion of the DIYmalls screen is 73mm x 51mm. Compared to the other brand which has dimensions of 67mm. x 45mm. So the DIYmalls screen has the advantage of having a slightly larger graphical screen. However, it would also appear that the touchscreen interface is not well suited for the bigger screen. There are dead spots on the touchscreen near some of the edges so you won't be able to click/tap everywhere on the screen. Speaking of touchscreen, this uses a resistive touchscreen, where the coordinates are determined by reading the resistance of the touchscreen via the X and Y pins. As a result, you'll need to ensure that you calibrate the touch points first. A capacitive touchscreen doesn't need this calibration, but with a capacitive touchscreen, you're limited to what can be used to interact with the screen.The TFT screen is not very good for viewing from an angle so that could be an issue as well. If that's important, then you would want to look for an IPS or OLED screen instead.Overall, the screen works fine and I like the bigger size, but am not able to fully utilize the touchscreen. As a result of that, I cannot give this a full 5 stars. Perhaps it's just this particular screen I received and maybe the next batch would be different?
