A challenging kit, as Dimensions Gold kits usually are, had to learn a couple new backstitch techniques, and didn't totally incorporate the metallic thread because its the bane of my life, but I think it turned out gorgeous none the less. Took approx 2 1/2 months from start to finish stitching on average 2 hours daily. Seeing it complete is making me excited to do another one! I recommend this stocking kit if you like a challenge.

Ich sticke mir jedes Jahr einen neuen Weihnachtssocken. Von DIMENSIONS habe ich einige. Dieses Design hat mir immer gefallen. Aber wenn ich es hier in Deutschland im Versand gesehen habe war es 3x mal so teuer . Deshalb habe ich einfach mal Amazon befragt, ob ich hier günstiger ran komme. Prima ! , hat alles gut geklappt .Preis ist topp, Lieferung war auch topp und ich habe eine Komplette ORIGINALE Stickpackung erhalten. Vielen Dank für den Super Service.

This stocking is absolutely beautiful. I managed to get it on sale for $29 CAD. I previously made a very simple stocking and thought I'd tackle something more difficult. I had the image reversed by my brother-in-law to match the first one I made. Every single square of this stocking had a stitch in it. I'm so pleased with the way it turned out. I had plenty of floss left over. I didn't use the felt provided in the kit to sew the stocking together as it is pretty cheap and after all the hours of work put in to it, finishing it off with the cheap felt wouldn't do it justice. A friend sewed the final stocking together using some taffeta and gold cording. Was exactly what I had envisioned. Love it.

The finished stocking looks amazing, really enjoyed completing it.The kit is clear and easy to use. It took me 120 days to fully complete it, spending approximately an hour a day on it. I gave myself plenty of time before Christmas to finish it.There is quite a lot of top stitching, personally I don't like top stitching, but it really makes the piece come to life and is necessary. Also there are a couple of stitches/techniques needed on here I was new to, but the instructions are very helpful and a quick Google search helped.I modified the stocking to include lining inside the stocking as I didn't want to finish the stocking as the kit suggests, sew the felt on the back.Overall it looks great! I am doing to buy another stocking kit by Dimensions to complete for next Christmas.
