This is a pastel paper that I come back to time after time. I like these pads of Ingres paper for general use and practice. This collection of pastel paper is very useful. It has a good selection of colours ranging from pale cream to dark sand. Each page is interleaved with a non-stick translucent page. This is so useful for pastel work as it mean the pad can be used like a sketchbook, and pieces do not have to be removed and kept separately. The pastel paper itself is Ingres and is a good general paper. It takes even soft pastels well and grips the pastel. It is not so textured as some papers and so is easier to 'smudge' while still holding enough medium.

Product as I expected....love having the three choices of white or really should be called 'off white/ivory' pastel paper.Each sheet is separated by a protective sheet of paper.....great for preventing colours ie. pastels from transferring to the other sheets in pad (when in use).I bought this size as I have fallen into the trap of buying the next biggest size (for economy) in order to cut in half and make what I thought were 2 x A4, not realising that the bigger pads aren't actually A3 sized but 16 x 12 inches instead!It would be good if the Daler Rowney manufacturers could add the extra couple of inches on to the next biggest size as other art pad manufacturers seem to make A3 sized pads.
