Works as expected. Have had no issues so far and have used only one canister on both road and gravel tires.

This CO2 inflator is a quick and easy solution for road and mountain bike tire inflation. It’s compact, lightweight, and simple to use, making it great for on-the-go repairs. The Presta & Schrader valve compatibility is a big plus, and the insulated sleeve helps protect your hands from the cold CO2 release. Just keep in mind that CO2 cartridges are not included, so you’ll need to purchase them separately.

First, I thought this item was a bit pricey for a bit of aluminum from China. However, once I received it, I was immediately impressed by the quality of machining and finishing of the device. It looks good. The anodizing is uniform and there are no machining burrs or flash or sharp edges anywhere on it. All edges are chamfered and smooth. The valve connector spins smoothly with only the feel of the o-ring seal dragging. No grittiness at all. The connector is threaded for both schrader and presta valves with a single o-ring that will seal either. All threads are smooth and tight. Just very nice machining! There is no center pin to depress the valve core so this must rely on high pressure to force the gas past the valve. Benefit is that you will not lose pressure while removing the inflator. The lock works to prevent accidental discharge while stored. As mentioned by another reviewer, my unit did not come with any kind of seal at the tank connection . While I couldn’t detect any leakage, I would be wary of storing this with a tank attached and punctured. I doubt there would be any gas left when you needed it. I will have to try it. It would be ideal if this could be packed in your bag assembled and ready to use. After all, that is what the lock is for, isn’t it? To prevent discharge while stored? One could probably add an o-ring but then I don’t think it would tighten enough to puncture the tank. They might have omitted it because of cold shrinkage when used. Whatever, it works without it.The flow is fairly easy to modulate in use but you are going to have to use the old ‘squeeze the tire’ method to judge pressure as there is no gauge. This is purely for going from flat to rideable. Sure would be nice if, after I’m done playing with it, I never have to use it again.

These CO2 cartridges fit my Genuine Innovations Air Chuck Elite inflators just fine and work as well as any others. I can fully inflate a 2.4 mountain bike tire with a single 16 gram or (2) 700 c road tires (although mine are old and skinny at only 23 mm width). The price is fair for 5 cartridges. You can pay less per cartridge buying more but, depending on how often you actually use them, buying more may or may not make sense. The seal is the same as any other so I see no reason they shouldn't hold up just fine in a pack or seat bag long term.

Gauge dial is too small to read. A lock-in mechanism is missing to prevent accidental CO release while in a pouch or backpack
