Overall was very poor quality. Pans were mismatched an had multiple issues with the burner itself. But the customer support was great and they offered multiple options to make right. I eventually settled for a refund.

I'm quite relieved that the items are of a manageable size. The process of arranging them in the bag required a touch of creativity—it was akin to crafting a work of art, yet it wasn't a complicated puzzle to figure out how to fit everything back in once used. The robustness and practicality of the plates, cups, pots, and cutlery are exactly what I need for my camping excursions. Having tested them at home for the past month, I can confidently say they're seasoned and primed for outdoor adventures. They clean without hassle, and a significant benefit is that there's no residual metallic taste when food is stored in them, which is a testament to their quality. Making the switch to stainless steel is a choice I'm proud of, especially now that studies are revealing the alarming fact that microplastics are found in 90% of humans. It's a step away from plastic and towards a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

I think the CretFine Premium 304 SS Camping Cookware Mess Kit is well worth the price for people who camp-cook / micro-RV-cook all the time over wood, propane, butane, alcohol and 12v DC and inverted 110-120v electric. Our university builds and furnishes high-quality mobile living vehicles to a social array of 1-2 people at a time. While the onus of this product seems to be on survivalists / minimalists, ease of packing and "trips" (temporary cooking away from land-based home) this cookware is substantial enough to be used for every meal, everyday and probably will probably last longer than the lifetime of the furnished vehicle. The only problem we are having is the diameter of the kit is too small to put on many (best) single-burner butane stoves without tipping and spilling. The best SBG's have a wider burner with windscreens. This is NBD because we compensate by adding thick wire between the pan/pot supports on the grill to prevent this.It seems to me the CretFine Premium 304 SS Camping Cookware Mess Kit could be improved without much cost to have a wider diameter and shorter being to eliminate the problem and it would be easier to pack and cook.

I haven't had a chance to take this cooking set into the field yet, but as someone who has been camping and cooking many times over the decades, I think I can offer some useful preliminary impressions. One is that it's necessary to keep in mind that this set is intended for just 1-2 people. Don't plan on cooking large amounts of food with this set; it's not sized for that purpose. The number of pots should be sufficient to prepare several different items for a meal for a small party, especially if you plan your menu around them.Ideally, I'd guess the best way to use this gear is with a backpacking stove, rather than a wood fire. The small size of this kit would make it a bit tricky to balance the pots over burning wood, unless you have some kind of grill to set over the fire. (See the video in the product listing.) I have a couple of Svea 123 stoves, and these should work fine with them.Something to handle hot pots would also be essential. Although several of the pots include handles with a plastic coating, it's still not something I'd want to trust my bare hands to - and the product listing video says to keep the handles out of open flame. If you are going to use cooking utensils with this kit, they should probably be on the smaller side. A full size spatula is not going to work well with the small size of the frying pan. Ditto for cooking spoons. I really like the folding spoons and forks and the way they fit in the kit.I was a little surprised at how much this set weighs - until I reflected on just how much cookware is packed into such a small package. For comparison, a traditional Boy Scout Trail Chef cooking set for a patrol of up to 8 people weighs in at 9 and half pounds despite being made of aluminum - and is much larger. This set comes in at 2.7 pounds and is stainless steel. (I can only imagine how light a titanium version would be - and I don't want to think about how much it would cost.) An aluminum Boy Scout individual cook kit would be lighter, but as I recall it only consists of a frying pan with handle that pairs up with a bowl, a small pot with lid, and a plastic cup.The product listing claims this kit is easy to clean. Considering some of the stuff I've had to scrape off over the years, a lot of that will depend on your ability to keep from burning things into the cookware. The stainless steel should make it more resistant to scratches and dents versus aluminum. For someone with a small RV with limited kitchen space, this kit might be useful as well. It could be supplemented with a few larger items like a bigger frying pan, pot, or coffee pot, and still save space and weight. One more thing - you may want to make a sketch showing exactly how to pack everything back up in the order that will ensure it fits in the carry sack, unless you like working with 3D puzzles.
