Overview

A tiny sensor breakout with BME280 onboard, sensing environmental temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. It supports both
I2C and SPI interfaces, also is compatible with 3.3V/5V voltage levels.

Due to its ultra small form factor, low power consumption, high precision with stability, the BME280 Environmental Sensor is suited for

I enjoy collecting data and feeding it into my smart home environment. I ordered the BME280 sensor so that I could collect temperature, humidity, and pressure data. Since I have used other i2c devices in the past, I was able to quickly get this working on my Pi Pico. The included Dupont connectors firmly attach to my Pi Pico pins. Using a small bit of CircuitPython, I was able to read data off of this board. The data read from the sensor looks accurate. The screw holes give plenty of room to mount this onto a 3D-printed enclosure without disturbing any soldered components.

BME280 is a popular sensor with support library/code available from the Internet. The price seems to be a little expensive for the included cable with female DuPont connectors.
