Excellent Product***** My skin is not itching, my hair is not frizzy after drying it. The filter is really doing a great job of removing the contaminants in our water. Why I did not do this sooner! People, the crap in our water is doing bad things to our skin, get a filter for all your water outlets. It really does help!

This consists of a chrome-plated plastic canister that can be unscrewed in the middle to insert a filter cartridge. Rubber seals prevent leaks and direct the water flow from the shower feed. There is a female standard thread at the top and a male one at the bottom, allowing it to be interposed between the pipe and shower head. There are further seals, and a mesh filter on the inlet side. The device is quick to assemble and fit, and due to its weight and bulk, works best on a fixed shower rather than a hand-held. These filters are complex, with multiple layers of filter and water treatment materials.This Cobbe-branded filter is almost identical in appearance and construction to our previous model, though the exact number and makeup of the filter layers is a little different. The old one did seem to block the rubber shower nozzles, but not excessively. The fine brown powder can be cleared by squeezing the nozzles. Whether this Cobbe one will do the same remains to be seen.There are two filter cartridges supplied, sufficient to last about six months.t works out at about one pound a week for softened purified shower water. I can't find any replacement cartridges of the same make, but others that will fit are available, and could save a little money and waste.

So I love the results I’ve gotten and was surprised how quickly I noticed a difference. However now my hair is so soft now that I have to wash my hair daily to keep it from going limp. I used to be able to wash my hair only 1-2x week but now I notice after even just 1 day my hair needs a wash again! I wonder if because my hair is sleeker now, it is allowing my natural oils to travel more effectively down my hair shaft. I also noticed my acne improving in less than a week. It was easy to install but I must remove a star for how cheap the plastic feels to the touch.
