It's a pity that Geography lessons at school weren't this interesting. My knowledge of Great Britain (and beyond) would have been much more full than it is. The whole of this series has been so good that I wonder what I did without it in the past.

I ordered this DVD for my brother's Christmas present and he was absolutely thrilled, as he is a great fan of the series. It doesn't just follow the British coastline this time but branches out to Northern France and Scandanavia - very interesting, lots of information and great, enthusiastic presenters. You can't go wrong with a good dose of COAST - unless of course you don't like Neil Oliver, which I personally can't imagine. If you buy this, enjoy!!

A journey around the coast of the United Kingdom, uncovering stories that have made us the island nation we are today. An amazing programme not to be missed by anyone who loves the British Coastline. There is so much to see and learn from this set of DVD's.

I watched the tv series and just had to buy for a gift for my father now living in South Africa. Scenery is beautiful, full of historical facts, a worthwhile gift to someone who enjoys watching about our landscape, the history, the countryside and the coast all rolled into one. A great value for money product!

Everyone has their own views. For me,I have found this series Very, Very relaxing and very easy to watch. We have a spectactular wealth of coastline around uk & Ireland (& beyond) and this series is a great way to see it all in a really relaxed way. It is very simple, interesting & some very beautiful scenerey, it's easy going & for me it has been an ideal way to totaly wind down on an evening after demanding days at work. Usally when sequels come out to films or TV series they end up scraping the barrel But I think NOT SO with COAST!, I think that COAST 4 has actually got better and has matured very,very well with age and continues to do so. I bought series 5 as well but am not able to review that on here but will certainly be saying good things all round.

Any doubts that the "Coast" Team would not be able to maintain the high standard of the first three series are dispelled by this "Coast and Beyond" series 4. Purists may not like the fact that some programmes travel beyond the British Isles (France and Norway are visited) but the tried and tested mix of history and geography continues to both educate and entertain. Worth every penny!
