Mein Labrador Barney und ich wohnen auf der Insel Rügen und das ist natürlich der perfekte Ort für einen (See-)Hund wie ihn. Jeden Tag geht es zum Baden an den Strand und Spielzeug zum Apportieren ist auch immer mit dabei. Dabei haben wir eine wechselnde Kollektion an robusten und schwimmenden Spielzeug und täglich kommt eine andere zum Einsatz, damit es auch nicht langweilig wird.Im Winter haben wir allerdings das Problem, dass es immer schon dunkel wird, wenn ich von der Arbeit komme. Das heißt, dass ich im Dunkeln an den Strand immer nur den (tollen!) Chuckit Leuchtball mitnehmen kann. Das ist okay, aber man merkt schon, dass es Barney nach ein paar Wochen langweilig wird immer nur dem Ball hinterher zu jagen. Außerdem hat er als großer Hund auch eine Vorliebe für großes Spielzeug, welches er stolz wie Oskar durch die Gegend trägt. (Auch zum Strand und wieder zurück.)Glücklicherweise fand ich beim Stöbern dieses Spielzeug und es hat einfach alles, was Barney mag: es ist groß, schwimmt und (okay, das ist meine Präferenz) es leuchtet! Endlich eine Alternative zum Leuchtball im Winter!Das Material ist wie beim ChuckIt Kick Fetch, den wir im Sommer am Strand gerne nutzen. Er hält Hundezähnen eigentlich gut stand, man sieht zwar Abdrücke, aber ansonsten sind keine Beschädigungen zu sehen. Allerdings sollte man bei beiden Spielzeugen beachten, dass sie nicht zum Kauen gedacht sind. Das würde das Material nicht überstehen.Wir haben den Winter gut überbrückt und freuen uns auf den nächsten mit dem Leucht-Bumper!PS: Mit einer UV-Lampe in der Tasche kann man am Strand nicht nur Bernstein suchen, die Leuchtartikel von Chuckit leuchten damit auch viel schneller und intensiver und man kann immer schnell mal "nachladen".

I had picked this bumper originally up at a Dog Dock Diving event for my dog. He doesn’t dive but my boyfriend thought he’d like it. Turns out, it’s one of his favorite toys. He loves it! It makes for a good toy to play fetch with. Very durable. I like that it glows in the dark as well. My dog played with it so much, I had to get him a new one because the first one started getting beat up.

EDIT à lire ci-dessous : Fan des produits chuckit qui sont quasi indestructibles même avec des chiens experts en destruction de jouets.Par contre celui-ci vient de rendre l'âme assez rapidement. Quelques jours à peine. Je pense que c'est soit un défaut soit sa conception, avec un plastique assez fin sur les extrémités et une mousse dessous qui permet un appui pour la perforation. Egalement des coutures légères. J'attends le retour du vendeur. Mais sinon, bonne taille pour une malinoise de 28kgs, génial la nuit, le rebondissement aléatoire de par sa forme. Très sympa pour reprendre l'activité doucement suite à une opération par exemple.12/03/19 : J'ai eu la réponse du vendeur. C'est normal, apparemment c'est mon chien qui est trop machouilleur et non l'objet qui est fragile. De tous les jouets qu'il a pu avoir, c'est le seul qui est endommagé (et une peluche qui a un an, et a passé l'hiver dehors). Donc je ne recommande pas ce produit, ni le vendeur. Aucun sens commercial. A proscrire, il y a bien d'autres jouets tous aussi amusants et phosphorescents :) Bonnes emplètes

Only lasted 2 weeks and developed a hole. It then had to be thrown away, very expensive for something that does not last. Would nit use their products again unfortunately.

My dogs liked this toy so much I got two so they would quit fighting over it. I have a 25-lb. mutt and a 55-lb. Vizsla and the medium size is good for both of them. The toy charges up quickly (30 seconds or so with a flashlight). The glow is strong along the whole toy, although it fades after about 5-10 minutes. If I can get one back from the dogs I just quickly charge it again.The toy itself is made of a tough nylon material with rubbery plastic ends. It can get wet without getting soggy, which is nice in the rain and snow.It seems durable (it IS durable, see Edit). I would never let a dog straight up chew on it, but we've used it daily for a couple of weeks now and its held up to catching, pawing and the games of tug-tug between the two dogs or between me and the dogs when they just don't want to drop it (which is all the time). If it hits the ground and there isn't any snow it will bounce a little bit, but nothing super crazy.Overall everyone is happy we added a couple of these to our collection. We also have a glow in the dark flying disk the dogs like which is very durable and holds its glow much longer, but is harder for the dogs to get out of the snow if they don't catch it.Edit: its now been a year since we bought our first toy and they are still awesome. Some of the glow tape on the sides has peeled off and there are holes in the ends from chewing (there is a styrofoam-type stuff under the rubbery stuff, so nothing falls out of the hole), but we still play with the toys every day.
