After a lot of frustration searching for a working adapter for the Samsung MZ-JPV2160/0A4 PCI SSD from a late 2014 Mac Mini A1347, I came across this PCI adapter which works like a charm!

Passt, wenn man eine Mac-SSD mit einem Standard USB-Adapter an einem Macbook betreiben möchte. ich habe mir damit eine externe USB-SSD-Platte gebaut, schnell noch ein Gehäuse dafür konstruiert und mit dem 3D-Drucker gedruckt. Perfekt.

i had a samsung mz-dpc768a/0a2 768GB SSD from an old Macbook pro.This adapter allows me to connect it to my computer via SATA.It works no problem.

Muy contento. Lo he usado para devolver a la vida un SSD de un MacBook Pro del 2012 (…que hardware mas malo que se rompe por todos los lados, por cierto). He podido recuperar los datos, pasándolos a Windows, utilizando MacDrive (tiene prueba gratis de varios días) y un explorador de archivos portable (ya que el administrador de W10 se bloqueaba constantemente), el Double Commander funciona genial, es gratis y pequeño. Después de formatearlo y gracias al soporte metálico que trae, lo he instalado en un portátil Dell XPS como segunda unidad de disco duro. Va genial y detectado a la primera sin necesidad de instalar nada. Como los SSD de Apple son espacialitos, hay que estar atento al modelo, tamaño, numero de pines del conector y potencia de alimentación. Yo, al principio cuando estaba sin formatear en NTFS , lo conecte al portátil (gracias Dell) con un cable eSATA a SATA sin alimentación externa y funcionó perfectamente. En fin, le doy un 10. Me ha ayudado mucho a un precio muy bueno. Gracias.

PCIe AHCI SSDs funktionieren nicht mit USB-Adaptern!Die Platine ist sehr dünn und nicht sehr gerade, aber letztendlich erfüllt sie ihren Zweck. In meinem Fall stellte sich heraus, dass die originale Samsung MZ-JPV128S/0A2 SSD, die ich aus einem Macbook Air 2017 entfernt hatte, PCIE AHCI und nicht NVME war. Aus diesem Grund wurde sie von keinem der 3 verschiedenen NVME-USB-Adapter, die ich zur Hand hatte, erkannt. Am Ende habe ich - wie auf den Bildern zu sehen - einen PCIE-Adapter verwendet und die SSD in einen Desktop-PC eingesteckt [M2-Steckplatz auf dem Motherboard funktioniert auch] und Linux zum Kopieren der Daten verwendet.Natürlich ist das nicht die Schuld des Adapters, aber ich wünschte, ich hätte gewusst, dass die SSD PCIE AHCI und nicht NVME ist, um nicht meine Zeit damit zu verschwenden, herauszufinden, warum meine USB-Adapter nicht funktionieren.Die Mac PCIE AHCI SSDs funktionieren nur mit den teuren USB-Adaptern, die speziell für den Mac hergestellt wurden.

I had a water-damaged laptop including the SSD hard drive. The drive was dead and would not "mount" with anything I had on hand. This item let me attach the damage SSD drive with it's proprietary Mac connector to a USB port so I could run a hard drive recovery system (a program that could dig deep into a corrupted hard drive for file recovery). I've recovered most or all of the files on the drive which was not mountable before using this device, so I consider this a HUGE win. It DOES require you understand the difference in connectors and just what this does. But if you do, it works perfectly. Note a 500GB drive took a day or more to scan for recovery, but it DID work in the end. I'm really happy as it helped me recover 100% of the really sensitive info I needed. The rest is, as they say, cake.

Wie im Titel beschrieben ist dieser Adapter zum genannten MacBook Air nicht kompatibel und oder funktionslos. Der Adapter wurde nicht erkannt, die Festplatte konnte folgedessen nicht ausgelesen werden. Produkt wird retourniert. Ganz grundsätzlich ist der Adapter schon verbogen angeliefert worden was eventuell auch ein Indikator für Qualität sein könnte. Die gesamte Bauweise ergibt für mich auch keinen weiterführenden Sinn als eine einmalige Anwendung.

Ich hatte ein großeres SSD für mein macbook gekauft und alte 128gb lag umsonst herum.Ich habe dieses PCB gekauft und damit ins Dell-Desktop PC eingebaut. Es war zwar größer wie vorgesehen aber funktioniert trotzdem einwandfrei.

Leider funktionert der Adapter nicht mit einer 128GB SSUBX SSD aus dem Jahr 2015.Die SSD stammt aus einem MacBook Air von 2015 und hatte bis heute ihren Dienst in einem MacPro 2013 getan.Ich wollte den Adapter nutzen, um die Daten der alten 128GB SSD auf die neue 2TB SSD zu überspielen...Die Daten konnte ich leider nicht Retten, die SSD wird weder in einem NVME M2 zu USB Adapter, noch einer NVME M2 PCIe Adapterkarte erkannt.Schade...

Tested this adapter with a few old Macbook Air SSD's I had lying around. Put the adapter in a cheap ICY box IB-PCI209 adapter into an PCIe slot in an old 2008 Mac Pro.Mixed results, tested with Blackmagic Disk Speed test:- Samsung MZ-JPV128R/0A2 and Samsung MZ-JPV128S/0A2: recognized as PCIe x4, 2.5GT/s, Read 780MB/s, write 680MB/s.- Sandisk SD6PQ4M-128G-1021: recognized as PCIe x1, 2.5GT/s, Read 200MB/s, write 190MB/s.- Toshiba THNSN2128GSPS: not recognizedAll in all great value for the price, just avoid the Toshiba SSD's. And possibly speeds could be higher with a better PCIe adapter and a newer PC instead of an old 2008 Mac Pro with limited PCI-slot speeds.
