Konstruktion
Der Dew Shield DX bietet eine perfekte, individuelle Passform, die speziell für optische Röhren 9,25 und 11 Celestron entwickelt wurde. Der Dew Shield besteht aus strapazierfähigem PE-Kunststoff, der flexibel, aber stark ist. Zusätzliche Polsterung wurde an der Rohrbefestigungskante hinzugefügt, um eine stärkere Passform auf der optischen Röhre zu schaffen. Die mit Filz ausgekleidete Innenseite absorbiert zusätzliches Streulicht und übermäßige Feuchtigkeit und schafft so einen optimalen Kontrast beim Betrachten und Bilden. Der große Schwalbenschwanzausschnitt wurde sowohl breiter gemacht, um eine 4 breite Schwalbenschwanzschienen aufzunehmen, als auch tiefer, um eine solidere Verbindung mit dem optischen Rohr herzustellen.
Das Anbringen des Dew Shield an Ihrer optischen Röhre ist dank der Klettbefestigungspunkte einfach. Ob Ihre optische Röhre 9,25 und 11 ist, stellen Sie einfach den Klettverschluss für die richtige Passform ein.

If you have a C series scope, dew is a concern. The concern increases along with the size of the glass. Celestron has 2 options. The least expensive option is the hood that attaches via velcro and is made of plastic and vinyl. The other choice is a metal hood and has built in ports to accommodate Celetron's powered dew heater (sold separately). Both are good choices, They both work well, the deciding factor is of course always price vs convenience vs budget.If you travel with your Scope, the basic hood can be folded flat when removed and is lighter. The Metal hood can be removed but takes up more space and is heavier if that matters. I have both. when I am home the metal version stays on my C9. if I travel to site, it stays at home.

Although this product doesn't completely diminish the formation of dew on the front glass of my SCT scope it does slow down the process quite a lot. I can usually get 2-3 hours without any dew formation on my telescope when the dew point is high. Worth buying if you have a 9.25 to 11inch SCT telescope.

This inexpensive Dew Shield from Celestron is extremely well-made. Not only is the it durable, but it’s thick and weather resistant. I use it on every session with my 11” Celestron SCT. The cut-out fits perfectly around the bottom dovetail and the heavy-duty Velcro keeps a nice tight fit. Highly recommended if you can’t afford Celestron’s aluminum Dew Shield.
