Im Winter besteht in einigen Regionen Italiens eine Mitführungspflicht für Schneeketten. Wir haben sie bis jetzt noch nict verwendet, sind jedoch von der Qualität angenehm überrascht. Bitte beim Kauf daran denken: Handschuhe mit zu bestellen. Zu Haus natürlich vorher das Anlegen üben. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Die Ketten sind gut verpackt und lassen sich auch leicht wieder zusammenlegen. Ich habe die Ketten genutzt und sie haben perfekt funktioniert - ohne diese wäre ich liegengeblieben. Tipp! Auf alle Fälle vorher einmal zum Test anlegen und Handschuhe dazulegen.

Das Plastik des Koffers ist ziemlich dünn und der Verschluss etwas fummelig. Macht alles nicht den Eindruck, das es bei viel Benutzung lange hält. Nun zu den Ketten. Ich hab sie einmal eingesetzt bei komplett verschneiter und fest gefahrener Schneedecke. Das Anlegen ging echt einfach, ohne das ich vorher ne Trockenübung gemacht hab. Ich hatte mir nur ein paar Videos, auch vom Hersteller angeschaut. Dafür ging’s echt super beim Ablegen als auch beim Abschnallen. Die Fahrt war super und die Ketten haben echt gute Arbeit geleistet. Für den Preis und die Erfahrung, die ich mit Schneeketten hab echt super.

Ich hatte Anfangs ein wenig Bedenken, da ich noch nie Schneeketten gekauft, geschweige denn, auch benutzt habe.Da ich aber nach Österreich zum Skifahren wollte, musste ich nun welche kaufen.Ich habe die erst mal zu Hause ausprobiert. War auch sehr einfach. Die Anleitung ist gut und sogar auf wasserfestem Kunststoff gedruckt, so das diese auch mehrmaligen Gebrauch zulässt und nicht gleich durchweicht.Es gibt auch eine Folie für die Knie. gute Idee könnte allerdings ein bisschen größer sein. Es gibt auch Einweghandschuhe, aber da empfehle ich richtige Handschuhe zu nehmen, da die Hände beimAnlegen im Schnee doch recht kalt werden können.Ich musste im Urlaub dann auch auf die Ketten zurückgreifen, und war richtig froh, das ich sie dabei hatte.Das Anlegen war problemlos. Ich bin damit ohne Probleme ca. 50km gefahren, bis die Strassenverhältnisse wieder gut genug waren.Beim Abnehmen der Ketten habe ich keinerlei Beschädigungen feststellen können.Zu Hause habe ich die dann nochmal zum trocknen ausgepackt. Nun warten die Ketten bei mir auf Ihren nächsten Einsatz.

These chains are fantastic. I love them. I have a 2012 Prius with that damned traction control system that shuts down power to your tires when you need it the most, like when you're in snow and you need power. So, even though I've got great snow tires on, as soon as it snows, my car is as good as useless. I live at the top of a mountain and getting home on a snow day is a nightmare that often involves parking the car and hiking back home. I bought these chains, I put them on during one of these snow days, and I could not believe the difference they made. I'm not kidding you folk's when I tell you that these chains turned my Prius into a 4 x 4. I climbed that mountain as if there was no snow on the ground, and it was already a foot deep. I even accelerated and that traction control did not come on once. I love these chains, and I can't say that enough.I'd like to share a tip for putting them on. When you take them out of the case, hold them in front of you and make sure that there are no kinks in the chain. If there are just spin the top of the kinked section around a couple of times until they are all straight. Then, make sure that you slide that yellow end of the cable behind the tire. I just push it through until I can see it. Then I pull it up to the top of the tire on a diagonal angle. Then I bring the other end of the cable up on a diagonal as well and I connect the two section. At this point, the chains are not hanging right, but they are connected. Next I connect the side chain, it's the one with the red hooks. After that, the chains are still not over the tires properly so you just start pulling on them till they are. As you're doing this try to get all the hardware pieces, colored in red, out to where you can work with them, they are probably going to be somewhere behind the tire. Once you have that done, just connect everything up, like the back of the case shows you. I found the instructions on the back of the case better than the booklet that they give you. This sounds like a lot to do, but it's really easy. The first time I did it it took me about 10 minutes total. After that it got a lot faster to do. I also do one more thing. I have a vice clamp, 24" that you normally use to hold pieces of wood together. I use that thing to pull the top and bottom sections of the chains together, so that I don't have to use brute force to get the tension chain on as tight as it can go. The clamp does the job for me, I just keep squeezing the trigger on it till it pulls those chain sections up to where it's easy to hook the tension chains link, right behind the red link on the side chain. Doing it this way ensures that I don't have to stop in a 100 feet and retention the chains.Again, I'm not kidding, when I say these are the best set of chains I've ever worked with. I'm amazed!

Bought this for tires size 215/50/R17. Had to use them twice and this is what I observed.The chains fit very snug but not to an extend where it is hard to install. On the opposite actually, love the fact that I don't need to move the car to get them on the tires and the second time I had them installed in less than 5 min. Used them on plowed logging roads and they performed well, though might go with something bigger than 12mm next time. For paved roads these are more than enough IMO.
