The Camelback name speaks for itself and the quality of this pack doesn't disappoint. Everything from the zippers to the material is high quality. The design in well thought out and even includes a loop for attaching a lift ticket. Even using cold tap water, the pack's insulation was enough to keep the water from freezing.The only problem we had was water in the silicone bite nozzle freezing solid. Holding the nozzle in your mouth for a little while (half a chairlift ride) should thaw it enough to get a little water flowing. Once a little bit starts flowing, the rest quickly melts.Next vacation we'll try using warm/hot water. This should slow the freezing and keep us warm, too!

If you’re actually using this in the outdoors, in the winter, I would not recommend the product. I used it for two days while skiing, with outside Fahrenheit temperatures in the teens. I kept the hose and bite valve in the small pouch built into the shoulder strap, zipped up. It’s advertised as insulated, to keep the water from freezing. However, the water froze in the hose and bite valve each day. The intent was to wear this as an exterior water source, but I was unable to use it as such. I can’t return it, as I’ve already used it. Perhaps this works if you plan on using this in outside temperatures around the freezing point, but that doesn’t include many winter days where and when I would want to utilize this product.

I bought the Zoid Hydration pack to use during cross-country skiing. It works as advertised and I would recommend it to anyone looking for lightweight hydration pack.
