Great quality and very nice useful dice tower. Extremely happy.

Updated : Please read all of the review. Issues fixed and Great Customer ServiceC4Labs make some amazing dice towers. I had seen them online on game convention videos in the USA and a few online reviews on you tube. I have been after one of their slightly larger ones for a while but prices with shipping to the UK have been just too high to justify.Then I spot this portable model on a sale on Amazon and still a bit more than I wanted to pay I thought I would treat myself and ordered. It took a while to arrive but it was coming from the USA to the UK. So ok not the sellers fault there.Upon arrival I eagerly opened it. The last C4Labs one I had seen was at a gaming convention in the UK and it was solid Perspex tube was way thicker and sturdier than any other rival on the market and had a crisp lazer cut acrylic tray in blue which I really wanted, but that model wasn't available to ship here.So any way, upon opening the box I found the tower in its black storage bag (which is nice) and very well wrapped in bubble wrap. Big chunky bubble wrap. Nice and tightly wrapped. I was impressed.Then suddenly my joy turned to sadness as I unwrapped it and found what you can see in the photos. The Acrylic part is fine. The bolts are sturdy and look like they will last many a year of regular gaming usage.The wood dice tray wasn't glued well in places, with visible gaps I have tried to capture. One side being worse than the other.There were also chips in places onlong the edges which I would expect from sawing, not lazer cutting.And one of the end tennons was cracked in half down it and split out when I put my thumb on it as you can see.Now I might be picky over the tiny edge chips, but the lack of glue and gaps and damaged tennon. They really should have been spotted before shipping out as that definitely didn't happen in shipping.So in the effort to be 100% fair in the review:Pros:1) The design is great. Maybe the deflectors in the tower could be a 5mm wider as first one is easy to miss entirely. The hinge is sturdy and it folds nice and compact if you have to travel like I do to game.2) The acrylic tower is solid and won't break easily.3) The deflectors are not just in one plain, so you get nice randomality.Cons: (with the one I had delivered, which I cannot seeing being typical)1) Damaged and split plywood tennon on the base tray.2) Edge chips, spoiling the look of it.3) Gaps in joints where not touching, weakened structure and un-even assembly.So I can only conclude this is an a-typical unit and isn't their normal quality. As reviews else where online and from my own personal experience of seeing some at a show indicate the construction quality (on other models, I have seen admittedly, not this exact one before) were excellent.So would I look to buy another C4Labs dice tower. Maybe, one of the acrylic ones with acrylic trays instead of a ply wood tray.Conclusion: Hopefully a one off bad unit. But others I have seen have been far better quality.Update: Contacted C4labs.. and their comms were great. They have resolved the issue. They report having some issues with a laser cutter and that the flaws were not spotted when they should have been and a replacement is being sent. Which is great news. As said above I have seen quality of other items they make and this wasn't inline. So please rest assured you should receive a quality item. Any problems. Let them know.Update : 19_09_2023 - The replacement arrived and well, its perfect! C4LABs went out of their way to sort the issue. Greatly appreciated. They have gone above and beyond. Its a restoration in the faith of smaller businesses. Now saving up for some more bits from them.

Friends wanted to know where I got this cause its very nice and also saves my hearing from dice hitting a glass table.

The dice tower is really well made. Just the right size for my needs, it's just big enough to be easy to cary and i can store all my dice in it.I'm glad i choose this one!
