They were fine when I first bought them and now months later it's as if they've glued themselves together so they don't slip over the tubes anymore.Tried putting them in hot water to free them up but no joy.Back to using plastic bags

I’ve had other brands of these caulking condoms, and they work great. These not so much. It’s like they rolled them up before the rubber had cooled, and now the layers are stuck together. Useless

Review for: Bysameyee Caulk Cap Caulk Tube Covers, 50 Pieces Caulk Finishing Tool Caulk Saver Sealer for Sealing and Preserving (50)Number of Items: 50I ordered these caulk covers as practical adult gag gifts.I figured people could get a laugh and also have a practical use for them.I thought they would be very useful for my silicone since every time I get it out to put on my deer whistles, I have to pry out the dried silicone out of the top of the tube. I think this would actually work best by putting a nail in first, then the tube cover on top.The tubes are easy to use if you've used similar devices before, but I had to try them both ways to figure out which way the cover unravelled. The covers fit well over the silicone nozzle and a glue nozzle, and maxed out on a Caulk tube at 2 1/8" (55mm). Time will tell if they work well or not.Update (May 29, 2025): My silicone was just as dried up as when I had the regular cap on it, so I doubt these do much.

I can't quite decide whether this product is brilliant or bizarre.Any home do-it-yourselfer is familiar with the use of caulk, which is needed for nearly every project of any size to fill in gaps or uneven places. But you don't usually use an entire tube of expensive caulk at one go - instead, you just need a bit of it, and the rest is still in the tube. In order to use it later, you have to somehow keep the caulk from drying out.To accomplish this, I've tried several solutions. The simplest is a piece of duct tape, but that doesn't really do the job as the caulk in the very tip will still dry out and jam. I've also used special plastic caps that cover the end and also have a prong that sticks into the tip to keep it clear; those work OK, but aren't very flexible depending on how widely you've cut the point to extrude larger or smaller beads of caulk. Now I find these caulk covers, and I must say, they are not at all what I imagined them to be. I thought they were basically a sleeve that slips over the caulk tip, but no - they are exactly like a miniature condom, and are put on in exactly the same way.In theory, that should provide an almost completely airtight cover. Testing that will take some time, though for now I'm optimistic. I'll update this review once I have longer-term experience.
