I have a WORX corded device similar to this and having a cordless version has been great. It wourks really well and all my existing attachments are compatible meaning I don't need to spend more money on new tools. I have Dewalt tools and batteries already so didn't need more and a charger which made this good value - the only thing missing is a decent case to keep it safe. The speed of oscillation is easily adjusted and is suitable for all the jobs I have used it for so far, with a large battery attached it is quite heavy but not too bad - a large battery means it lasts a long time so less time messing around changing and charging.

Battery multi-tools are so much better than mains versions as they're a tool often used in awkward locations where a cable makes them harder to use. It's good that it takes the standard Dewalt 18/20v batteries as I already have a good collection of these and the chargers. It comes with a quick change mechanism that while not the easiest I've used, it's still functional and grips the tools well as long as you adjust the nut correctly for different thickness blades. The addition of a handle is a nice touch as some tasks are easier with that extra control. It comes with some blades and sanding pads which are fine for the cost. In use it works well, it's quiet, smooth and the variable speeds work well over their range.I do like the fact it's quite compact despite being battery powered and the top mounted quick change lever keeps it out of the way.The only concern I have is the mount for the tools only has pegs for every other hole, not all of them. I don't know if that means they'll wear with time is too early to say and I would prefer it to lock into every hole on the tool being used. Otherwise it’s a good tool.

This review is for the Byczone Oscillating Multi-Tool with 21 Accessories, 6 Speeds 8,500-21,000 RPM, Multifunctional Tool Cordless for Scraping Cutting Sanding, (Without Battery)This multi-tool cutter, in almost every position, looks and works like a DeWalt DCS355. Simply lock in a blade, slide in a DeWalt battery and you're ready to start cutting and trimmingI say simply lock in a blade, this is actually trickier than it needs to be, far more fuss than the way DeWalt handle this, but with this tool from Byczone, you need to open the top leaver, swinging it right over opens the blade lock, slide in the blade of choice, but then somehow keep the blade in place while swinging the clamp leaver back to the home position ... ok, it sounds like a moan, but the design is a bit too fussyBut fit the blade (or sanding pad) of choice, slide in YOUR OWN DeWalt battery (this tool comes bare) and you're ready. Speed is selected with a dial on the side of the body, 1...6, there is a slide switch on the top to start the motor, it's unfortunately only ON/OFF depending on the speed dial selection, so doesn't have true speed control or a slow start, the slide ON/OFF button is located on the top of the tool, whereas the natural position would be a trigger underneathOk, these all sound like moans, but it's actually a good machine and plenty of accessories, could do with a carry case or bag (agrrrr more moans), but fine if you're just starting to put a tool collection together or for occasional DIY useAt the current price of £42.99, it's in a competitive budget tool arena but does stand up for itself well and gets a recommendation from me

When this works its not bad at all. There seems to be something loose in mine though as it randomly stops and starts. When its working theres a lot of vibration but that's common with these types of tools. I don't think its any more or less than my bosch, ryobi or other unbranded oscillating tools. I like the selection of bits which covers most use cases. If this worked consistently i'd be pretty happy with it and it's ideal if you already own dewalt batteries.Mines started to make a horrible smell like melting (which i think is also why it turns off and on randomly) so i've disposed of it. Safety concerns far outweigh the convenience of another tool for me. For that reason alone pretty much i can't recommend it. Had it worked without issues i think £46 isn't OTT even if it is a little more expensive than other no name tools.

I've never used a tool like this before, but friend reports they are extremely versatile and useful, so I took the order and this is what I found. This tool has special skills and purpose that previously I had to do by hand. Specifically, PLUNGE CUTS! yes, this is the real feature that I now understand and love.I have often needed to fit doot furniture, you know, recessed hinges, handles, locks. All these need a shallow recess in the wood to take the metal furniture. PreviouslyI've used a hammer an chisel, and to be honest often made a but of a mess with it. Too deep, bad cuts, you know the drill ...This tool comes with a selection of plunge cut blades. Even with the correct sizes of width to accommodate door mortice facias etc. I found that using this tool for cutting the recesses was just ideal and gives a far more accurate and professional cut than an amature chisel job from me.The tool does need a battery, and as in common with other tools, They are readily available as OEM, or compatible batteries and chargers. Fortunately, I already had a Dewalt setup, so I coul duse the battery and charger with this oscillating tool. and it fitted and performed exactly as expected. So in conclusion, it's really is a good device, not only for that all important plunge cut, where a conventional saw is out of the question, but also for scraping, lifting, sanding and finishing surfaces that have deposits, like glue and sticky substrates. Well recommended, give it try, there are many other uses you may find.
