I can’t say enough good things about the Briggs & Stratton 498260 Carburetor Rebuild Kit! My Toro push mower (with a Briggs & Stratton 126T02 engine) wouldn’t start on its own—it would only fire up with starting fluid, which I knew meant a carburetor issue. After some troubleshooting, I decided to rebuild the carb instead of replacing it, and this kit was a lifesaver.The kit came with everything I needed: gaskets, seals, a new inlet needle and seat, and all the small components to get my carburetor back in working order. The parts fit perfectly on my carb (which turned out to be a 799866, a common replacement on these engines). I was a bit worried about installing the inlet seat correctly, but with some research and careful attention to detail, it went in smoothly.After rebuilding the carb and reinstalling it, my mower started on the first pull—no starting fluid needed! It runs like new now, and I saved a ton of money compared to buying a new carburetor or taking it to a repair shop. The instructions could be a bit clearer for beginners, but if you take your time and follow online guides, it’s a straightforward job.This kit is a must-have for anyone with a Briggs & Stratton engine needing a carb refresh. It’s affordable, high-quality, and got my mower back to work in no time. Highly recommend!

I originally purchased an aftermarket carb but had issues with the throttle linkage and the auto choke. After these experiences I purchased this rebuild kit, cleaned out the original carb with carb cleaner and fully rebuilt it. The rebuilt carb works perfectly, starts very easy and reminds me of when the mower was brand new.

B&S makes it very difficult to find which parts you need for your specific model of engine. It turns out that this kit was not for my particular carburetor, so the kit was useless for me.But it is, as far as I can tell, identical to the kit B&S sell on their website. And, contrary to what some 1 star reviewers have said, it came with every piece in the picture, and comes in a B&S branded box.So my advice is to make sure your carburetor is not one of the 0.1% that are different from all the other ones shown in youtube videos, because not a singe piece can be used from that kit on that carb.

mit diesem reparatursatz konnte ich den vergaser meines stromerzeugers mit briggs/straton motor wiederauf vordermann bringen. alle dichtungen haben einwqndfrei gepasst, ein paar kleinteile sind übrig geblieben,da der satz wohl für mehrere vergasertypen passt.würde ich wieder kaufen.

J'ai changé les pièces de mon carburateur de ma tondeuse et cela a marché.Elle fonctionne bien après le changement.

il kit è originale briggs e stratton, copre molti modelli di carburatori, quindi molte guarnizioni sono in surplustutte le parti in gomma necessarie sono presentiTuttavia a differenza della foto non c'è la vite di regolazione aria benzinaPenso sia indicato per tutti i carburatori a depressione, quindi quelli con vaschetta e galleggianteconsiglio quindi di smontare il carburatore per capire se questo kit sia adatto, oppure guardare video su youtube digitando Briggs and Stratton 498260 per capire bene il contenuto

Passend für viele B+S Motoren, Rasenmäher und Notstromer. Preis ist angemessen. Nicht immer werden alle beiliegenden Teile benötigt. Zur Vergaserinstandsetzung absolut erforderlich.

Da mein 7 Jahre alter B&S Rasenmähermotor immer unrunder lief habe ich den Vergaser zerlegt und mit Hilfe des Reperatursatzes wieder fit bekommen. Sämtliche Teile die verschleissfreudig sind waren in dem Rep-Satz enthalten.Alles erneuert und gleichzeitig den Tank ausgespült und wieder zusammengebaut.Das Ergebnis hat mich absolut überzeugt und meine Frau auch, da vor der Reparatur der Motor erst nach 10 bis 15 mal ziehen angesprungen ist.Der Motor ist nach der Rep mit nur 1x ziehen sofort angesprungen und läuft wieder absolut sauber.Jetzt kann meine Frau wieder selbst den Motor starten und ich kann mich um die wichtigen Dinge des Lebens kümmern...Kleiner Tipp: Gleich den Luftfilter, das Öl und die Zündkerze mitwechseln.
