I gave it five stars due to great price for quality product. I installed myself but required several long hours. Best to have two persons. Tracts MUST match and line up very well. It is not necessary to use glue or adhesive on the back. Better not to just in case you have to remove one strip or adjust strips. Use soap and water solution to constantly spray not only the forward section but also the feeding section - makes a big difference. I also sprayed a lithium grease in the grooves. Not necessary but after screwing in the pieces, I covered each piece with gorilla tape - just to create a smooth surface as pushing the tract. You MUST have at least one foot space on one side. You may be able to do with less, but it will be tough to align up and push the weather strip. If you are having problems trying to feed both T sections and one side continues to not feed or pop out, then JUST feed and insure one T side is in. This makes it much easier to do on your own. Then go back and use very wide flat screwdriver to push the one side in. A window screen spline push tool really helps here. Be sure to check carefully the garage door limits. The down length may need to be changed. Last, use silicone spray every few times a year or once a year to insure the threshold weathers and oxidizes slowly over the years.

This product is pretty sturdy. However, my garage door is hollow at the bottom, so there was nothing for the screws to attach to once they penetrated the bottom piece of metal. I had to majorly troubleshoot that on its own otherwise gravity causes the bumper to just fall to the ground.I got through that with some ingenuity, but there should probably be some consideration about this in the product description at the very least imo.Lastly, I put the rubber on second (the only way to do it so that you can screw the metal to the door). Putting the rubber on was an absolute nightmare. I actually can’t really describe how ridiculously high friction the parts were.I spent an insane amount of time trying to do it myself. The rubber resists the channel. The rubber wants to jump the channel. The rubber and the channel are like star crossed lovers. It was the most absurd I’ve ever felt putting something together and I actually like building things. The only positive thing I can say is it’s sturdy. But tbh, I want that hour back.

Easy to install, came with instructions that came in handy when it came to getting the seal in the track, I was gunna try and just slide it in the whole way but they actually say to push the T shape part in the whole way. A little tedious to get the rubber seal in the track but wasn't hard, just time consuming. I'm going to find a epoxy to mold it to the door since I don't trust the screws long term, they went into a insulated door and there isn't much metal to hold onto. Seems like a quality unit, definitely too early to say how it holds up though.

Overall great quality kit without any disappointments. I ordered the 16 foot kit and it comes with 5 sections of track that are approximately 41 inches each so gives a total of 17 feet of track - easy to cut to size. The rubber gasket is a total of just over 16 feet so no trimming was required on my 16 foot door. The screws that come with the kit are garbage - save yourself the headache and pick up some self tapper hex head screws.Installation was quick and easy. Cut the track to size and install with self tapping hex head screws. Slide the rubber in one track only the length of the door and then use a screwdriver to pop in the second track.High quality product that works exactly as needed. Great upgrade from the old worn out weather stripping. Definitely recommend this one!

So I don't usually leave reviews mainly because I'm lazy but after installing this I had to. So for starters, I don't know garage doors, but I consider myself relatively handy. Projects that are designed to take an hour usually take me an hour and a half or more either due to me trying to cut corners, or just blatantly doing something wrong and having to correct it. I almost DIDN'T purchase this product or any product because most reviews of this product and similar products state how difficult it is. The instructions clearly state its easier with 2 people and while it might be, i didn't have that ability to tie up my wife while she was with the kids so i tooo it on solo. We have a 16ft metal/aluminum maybe garage door that had a sort of metal track attached to the bottom of the door and a single line down the middle where the previous seal was inserted. The previous seal was so old and crusty that I had to cut it off with a knife and found no way to remove the metal bottom plate that was sort of inserted/part of the garage door. I opened the door part way so it was about at eye level or chest level then started working. I think the instructions said to cut power to your door and maybe thats safe, but here is an example of me cutting corners. Once I cut off the old seal, I used painters tape to tape up the track to the bottom of the door(as I saw someone do in some images on these reviews). Once the track was taped up, the last piece had to be cut. I couldn't find my hand saw so I opted for using a oscillating saw which cut through the track with ease with the proper blade installed. Once that piece was cut I taped it up like the rest and grabbed my drill. As everyone has stated, you HAVE TO drill pilot holes, unless maybe the door you have is wood. I tried to drill the screw directly through the metal/alluminum/ whatever standard garage door is, and it didn't work. Drilling the pilot holes was kindof a pain and this could have been my drill bits, but metal on metal the bit slides around, and obviously you don't want your hole bigger than the screw, so my holes were never perfectly center, but it all worked out. After trying to drill the pilot holes while having the track taped up I realized that the track was moving, so after drilling the first hole I used some quick grip bar clamps to clamp the track to the door. Then resumed drilling all the pilot holes. I focused on one track at a time, so after the pilot holes were done on the first track I would screw them into place, then move to the next track which worked well. Once the track was up I was concerned about getting the rubber seal in since most people say it's hard. (Also deterred me from almost not buying this) the instructions state what to do, and to use a screwdriver to sort of pop it in place. I used some silicone garage door lubricant down the whole track, one at a time. Popping the seal in using the screw driver method in their instructions was such a breeze, this is what drove me to write my review. Use lubricant, use a screwdriver and you'll have the seal up in minutes. I used a ladder to be my "2nd person " and draped the seal over the ladder as i moved down from one end to the other. Without the ladder or a 2nd person holding the seal up, im sure it wouldve been harder. Once one side was in place, I lubed the other track and followed the same routine. Once it was in place I knew the hard part had started. Closing the door brought it down, but it detected the new seal and probably assumed it was a foot(safety sensors) so the door wouldn't close. I then had to adjust the down and up force on the garage door to get the door to properly close (I used YouTube for help because again, I don't know garage doors). Once the door was closed, I noticed the chain was now hanging lower, so I had to return to YouTube to figure out what to do. There's a pin to adjust with some wrenches and that eventually fixed that. Overall I am pleased, it took me about 2 hours between installation, adjusting the actual garage, and adjusting the chain. Oh also, it has these 2 side plugs to put in the little rubber round thing in the middle. I had to remove these plugs because with them, I couldn't get the door to close. It kept tripping the sensor and I guess thinking something was under the door. All in all, I'm very satisfied to finally have a sealed garage door after 8 months of just dealing with a broken seal and avoiding this and other products because of reviews.
