Despite assurances on the web site that the part would fit my car (1986 Audi 5000S, 5-cyl 2.2L) it does not. The threaded end is twice the diameter it should be and it cannot be installed on this car. Bosch 0280130040 turns out to be the correct part, yet your website insists that ...040 will not fit my car. Perhaps asking for chassis number (VIN) would be an additional way to ensure correct fit.
