Die Geschichte von BODUM beginnt in Kopenhagen in Dänemark, wo das Unternehmen 1944 von Peter Bodum gegründet wurde und heute von seinem Sohn Jørgen Bodum, dem aktuellen Geschäftsführer, weitergeführt wird, der gleichzeitig gemeinsam mit seiner Schwester Pia Bodum Eigentümer des Unternehmens ist und sicherstellt, dass die BODUM Group ein hundertprozentiges Familienunternehmen bleibt.Peter Bodum importierte in den frühen Jahren der Firma BODUM Glaswaren nach Dänemark, nachdem er erstmals Vakuum-Kaffeemaschinen gesehen hatte. Beeindruckt von dem Geschmack begann er, das Design zu verbessern und ein Produkt herzustellen, das für jedermann erschwinglich war, und legte so den Grundstein für den Erfolg der Firma BODUM. Anfang der 1950er Jahre produzierte er mit MOCCA die erste Vakuum-Kaffeemaschine von BODUM, bevor 1958 die SANTOS-Vakuum-Kaffeemaschine auf den Markt kam.

Eine innovative Teekanne aus Glas mit einem Filter, der den Tee in der von Ihnen bevorzugten Stärke aufbrüht, ohne dass Sie den Filter entfernen müssen.

Bought this as gift for my girlfriend to introduce her to loose leaf tea as opposed to bagged tea. She enjoys it thoroughly, likes the fact that the plunger will stop the brewing process, and like the fact that with the bamboo handle and stainless steel there is a minimum of plastic.Bodum is a good choice for a brand, as replacement parts are available in many stores and on the Bodum website. There are knock off products in the market however I feel that once you need a replacement part, the knockoff/copycat products don’t have replacement parts which means having to buy an entirely new tea or coffee product.A word of caution though... though I own a Bodum tea press and three coffee presses, their customer service is horrible. Beyond bad. This relates to a design flaw in a coffee press I have, where the stem of the press is threaded and pushed through the soft rubber knob at the top of the stem. Repeated emails to Bodum were never returned. They appeared to have fixed the flaw as the 2018 model (Eileen) now comes with a hard plastic knob at the top of the stem.The 34 oz may be a bit large for a single person, as the perforation in the stainless filter requires adding more than a single cup of hot water (as well as extra loose tea) in order for the tea to steep. That’s okay for my girlfriend as she will down a few cups regardless. But as mentioned in prior reviews, once the water level drops below the perforations in the filter, the tea stops steeping (except for what is trapped in the filter)As far as the tea press:Product: 5 starsCustomer Service: 0 stars, would give negative if I could.

Looks very fragile, but at the end glass is firm and good quality. Impressive long time of keeping tea warm.
