I bought this for an upcoming camping trip and I'm very glad I tested it first.I left it on my deck, in the sun, with the (very cool) aiming dot all lined up, for hours and barely got one bar's worth of charge. Maybe on the equator this works well, but I wish I hadn't thrown the box away or I'd return it. Just get some USB packs from the same company; those are great.

I do a lot of back country group camping, I bought this as my sole source of power for my phone to communicate with other group members on different sites, or for pick up and drop off (island camping) . Needless to say I lost my ability to communicate because the biolite solar charger charged my phone one time and would not work after, despite leaving In sun for 8 hrs. Would not recommend this product or brand to anyone will not work as advertised, you will be out $80+ for a useless chunk of plastic.
