Great controller for the Valve Steam Deck, at least that's what I've been using it for. Also, naturally, works for steam on PC/laptops. I've used this to play Rivals of Aether 2 and it holds up to the button mashing that game demands. Love the multiple connection methods available and versatility of this controller. Feels great in the hand, very similar to Microsoft Xbox controllers.

BIGBIG WON is making a strong impact in the gaming controller market, and the Gale PC controller stands out as a solid contender in their budget lineup. Right out of the box, the controller’s look and feel immediately reminded me of an Xbox Series controller. It’s extremely comfortable in my medium/large hands, with a nice weight similar to an Xbox controller without batteries. The sleek matte black finish and color scheme give it a look that’s reminiscent of COD Black Ops—definitely a plus for any fan!The shoulder buttons exceeded my expectations: the bumpers have a satisfying, tactile feel without being too loud, while the trigger buttons have just the right pull weight and dampening. The face buttons use standard membrane switches, but they feel well-made and give a nice click on actuation. The joysticks are grippy and well-designed, and the D-pad hits a perfect balance—not too stiff or mushy, making it just right, like Goldilocks’ porridge. I tested the D-pad on Street Fighter II Turbo and was able to perform Ken’s special moves consistently about 95% of the time.Connecting the controller to my PC was straightforward. I downloaded BIGBIG WON’s PC app, which walked me through firmware updates and calibration steps. (Just a heads up: calibration is needed after firmware updates, though the controller worked fine before updating.) The app offers extensive customization options, including remapping back buttons, setting turbo functions, and configuring macros, which is a fantastic feature at this price point.When WIRED to the PC, Testing Polling rate on GamepadLA, the Polling rate average was 985.22 Hz on the left stick with average interval of 1.01ms and Jitter of 0.11ms. The right joystick polling rate average was 984.25 Hz with average interval of 1.02ms and jitter of 0.12ms. For 2.4G wireless with the dongle, I got around 122hz polling rate average. So, I would definitely recommend using it in wired mode if you are playing competitively.Overall, the BIGBIG WON Gale controller is a comfortable, well-built option with great customization features and app support. For gamers seeking an affordable controller that performs well and is easy to personalize, this one’s a winner!

I got a BIGBIG WON controller about a year ago and really liked it. I think this one is even better! It feels really good to hold. It's got a good weight to it. There are no sticky buttons or anything like that. Everything feels great and is super responsive.I really like the customizability of this and I'm a big fan of the back buttons. I find back buttons to be essential these days, especially for FPS games. I even use the back back buttons with things like Zelda too though.I've been using it with both my PC and my Switch. With PC I'm using it wired and with Switch I'm using the Bluetooth connection. Both methods worked flawlessly. Setup was a breeze and I've had no issues with lag or latency.All in all this is a fantastic controller and probably my new favorite.
