Simply place a metal blank into a depression then use a punch tool and a hammer to give it a convex shape. The block has overall dimensions of 2-1/4x 2-1/4x2-1/4 inches and there are six depressions each with a different depth and size. Two wood punch tools are included-- each measures 4 inches long and will not mar or scratch the metal surface. Complete package contents include one wood doming block and two wood punch tools. Imported.

I’ve tried this on nickels, dimes, quarters, penny’s, etc, and they all faired well. You just have to keep pounding really hard to make them bend to a button shape. I’ve used it quite a few times since buying it and the wood hasn’t even made a mark. Hammered as hard as I could and still, not even a crack or any marks whatsoever. Really happy with this item. I didn’t even know this existed.
