What a brilliant invention! I live in South Texas and although we are NOT supposed to have freezing weather (at least that's what they told me before I moved here) the past two years we have had short bursts of freezes. My sister and I both have so many larger plants in our yards that it was unbelievably hard to move them all into our garages before the freezes. We are not spring chickens so lifting the plants was grueling work. Plus, so many of them are succulents - stickers and prickers everywhere! This sling makes it so easy for the two of us to move the plants! The strapping is sturdy cotton (nice because the synthetic strapping tends to rot especially in the South Texas heat!). The metal hooks adjust with just a push or tug on the slider. The handles are slightly padded so they are very comfortable regardless of the weight of the plant. The best part for us is not having to worry about being stuck when we grab the planter. My husband was able to use the sling by himself - he never would have been able to pick up that planter (in the picture) by himself because of the spikes on the leaves and because of the smooth lip-less edge to the planter.Honestly, this brilliant contraption is the best thing in my gardening tub!

Twice a year there is a battle that occurs to move my potted fig trees inside the garage for winter and outside for spring. With the BBpara plant mover, this task was surprisingly easy to accomplish and painless. It takes a bit of preparatory work to get all the hooks & straps adjusted, but once on, these heavy 20" pots were really easy to handle. The hooks are actually attached to two loops (you can see clearly in the product video). Bungee stretch webbing for the inside loop and regular webbing for the outside loop which acts to limit to the range of stretch (which I think is a great safety feature). However, maintaining tension on the bungee hook while trying to adjust the straps to the correct length is difficult. I'm still giving 5 stars but this task would be a lot easier with an adjustable strap buckle (backpack style that has the tab to lever against to open) versus just the plain strap retainers that are very difficult to adjust with tension on them.

This two-person, four-handled plant lifting device is especially suited for moving potted plants. I acquired it to use for use when moving large potted plants from one elevation to another when a dolly cannot easily be used, such as from the deck to a lower step or ground level. I did not realize how valuable it would turn out to be. To protect a new pet, we needed to move a large potted fiddle fig to the second story because it is toxic to animals. If we had not had this device, I doubt that we could have moved the giant pot to another level. As far as I am concerned, that one use justified the cost of this item, though I have had opportunity to use it additional times as well. While it is a bit awkward feeling the first few times, once you get the hang of it, it really is a handy and efficient device.Overall, I like this BBpara lifting device for potted plants. Not only have I found it easy to use, I have found that I use it far more often than I originally anticipated. While it may initially seem like a lot of money for such a simple looking device, it is a clever design and far less expensive than just one hour of physical therapy. If you have heavy potted plants, be good to your back and get one of these.

Nice quality straps and thick nylon fabric - the price seems high, but it is a specific need that we have and for that specific purpose it does work quite well. You of course need 2 people, and you want to remember to lift with your legs because those larger planter pots are heavy!

This will work great to move our large potted plants outside when spring arrives. We have two very heavy ones, and just for those, this is worth the cost.We tried it out indoors on a couple of plants to see how well it worked. It works well.It does take two people, although we are a bit older, and that may not be true for younger people. It did take a minute to figure out how to lengthen and shorten the cords, but once I caught on, it's very simple. And it does take some time to change all 4 cords to the correct length to fit your plant, but I think it's worth it.I think we'll find other uses for it as well when we begin working outside more in the next couple of weeks.
