It’s well made. Only thing is I have to pick up all the pieces my kid litters everywhere. Be ready for clean up if your child is under 4.

This is the perfect foam playmat for a play room. They provide enough cushion to easily be on your knees playing with your kids and are nice for toddlers falling when still learning to walk. The squares are easily rearranged and can be a large 36 sqft space or built into cubes. This play mat is perfect for learning the alphabet as all the letters come out and you can practice matching the letters back together. We did not notice any fumes upon opening the package as others have noted. The mat is also easy to wipe down and clean up. The quality of the mat seems to be just as nice as the more expensive interlocking foam mats we use elsewhere in our home, but with the added bonus of letters and numbers to aid in learning. Overall we are very pleased with this item!

The design and quality of this puzzle mat is about what you would expect. I have no reservations about allowing my baby to crawl and play on it. There's a slight chemical smell but we'll just air it out for a day and clean it before the baby goes onto it.A few thoughts:1. The included edges cannot make an inside corner without a bit of trimming. Just use a scissors to snip off a bit of extra foam and you'll be fine.2. The letters and numbers are made from separate pieces of foam (not simply printed on the foam). This might be good or bad. Bad because it can come apart, but good because your child basically has a gigantic puzzle to put together if you punch out all the letters and numbers. My baby isn't old enough to do that yet but maybe next year. The good outweighs the bad!3. The regular price (which I paid, more than $25, as it wasn't on sale) is a bit steep for what you get. It's similar to other foam puzzle mats out there, but I would definitely wait for a sale if you have the time. Really, it's a fairly light and small package of foam. Some family members were shocked that the price is so high. Still, it's not a ripoff, and the description is accurate. If you have a large play area, this definitely won't be big enough, so you can imagine paying more than $50 for some simple foam to put on the floor.Overall, I recommend this puzzle mat. I chose it over the simple colored squares because my baby likes to look at new designs, and I'm hoping he'll spend some time looking at and tracing the numbers and letters. This set was only about $1 more than the plain squares.
