The hatch performs as stated but requires a wider tile joint in order to permit a blend in. If minimal joints are used the hatch frame is too large to fit into the tile grid. I modified the hatch as I had opted for the narrower joint. (+/-3mm). Having said that the magnets are strong enough to hold the metal back-plate and glued on 400 x250 ceramic tile securely in place. I am happy with the finished effect and with use of a wider tile joint the item would be fine as designed. The company web site has a good array of alternative hatch types and it is worth looking at the selection.
