I have been using the welder for a day to weld silver jewellery. It came well packed in a double box. I have experience with welding big stuff and read up on pulse welding before selecting the product. It appears well made and certainly does the job. However there are a few things that let it down. The 'User Manual' is virtually useless. A combination of poor translation, odd layout, lack of structured information and instructions for use let it down badly. The stand is made of plastic and nowhere near heavy enough to hold the electrode assembly sufficiently and the supplied ground cable has a very poorly fitting plug on the power supply end and a woefully inadequate sad little crocodile clip on the other. The cable could so easily have been a better quality and the fit of the plug checked before it left the factory. There is no guidance or explanation of the setting of power and electrode dwell and a lot of experimentation is required to get it right. Once set appropriately it makes good welds. With the welder was an odd little USB powered motor with a diamond wheel attached for sharpening the electrodes. It works but upon first removal of the USB plug the whole thing fell apart and required solder and glue to fix it! The Argon gas filter and pressure controller is of good quality but again no instructions are supplied at all. SO come on please get these things sorted and you have a winner on your hands!UPDATE - now been using this for a week and made reasonable welds on silver jewellery (after much fiddling about with power and duration) which is what I bought it for. However, the manual is worse than useless and the figures quoted for power make no sense at all. It says the consumption is 100W and it welds at 40V and is fused at 2A ("protection tube"). It also quotes 50A-600A - really? I don't think so. can someone please say what the real figures are for this thing? The two displays are odd too. The "power" says 0-10 which I think the manual says. *10 = % but percentage of WHAT certainly not 650A surely?? and the "duration" runs in steps of 3 from 3 to 30 assumed mS? The manual says "the unit is seconds" Really?BTW there are two sets of electrodes, one at 1mm the other at about 0.5mm but no mention in the manual....
