I purchased for wire wrapping. I was just beginning, so I did gouge it a bit and you could see the copper underneath. If you were better practiced, it would not be an issue.

Excellent product .. I highly recommend this . I have recently started making wire wrapped rings and have tried a few different brands. This silver plated wire seems to stay nice and shiny and wraps well , I have yet to break it while working with it . ( If you are looking for a new craft idea this is super fun and easy , I just happened to stumble upon this on youtube , Lots of good videos to learn from) Happy wrapping :)

I love Artistic Wire! This is the highest quality wire next to precious metal wire that I have found on the market. The color is the closest to precious metal, too. I use it for wire-wrapping and wire-weaving jewelry making, so it is put through a lot of twisting and bending and stands up to that. I highly recommend it.
