Less than 10 000km and it popped. Bottom ring came loose and bag popped loose on the bottom side. Not what I expect from Arnott.

I ordered this Arnott airspring to replace a previously failed Arnott airspring. When the airspring failed the car rested on the upper control arms, airspring airlines (which got damaged) and was not driveable due to the wheel rubbing against the fender. I never had this problem when an OEM air spring failed and was able to drive the vehicle to a garage or safe location when the OEM failed.I therefore decided to investigate further and discovered that the Arnott Air Spring bump stop is 40% shorter (60mm long end to end) than the OEM bump stop (100mm long end to end). The OEM bump stop also had additional structural support around the bump stop. This was absent on the Arnott.This is the reason the vehicle was resting on the control arms and airlines as the bump stop is too short!The bump stop is also a critical safety item designed to ensure the car behaves predictably under maximum shock compression. The too short bump stop on this air spring therefore poses safety concerns.I have returned the product for a refund.The reason I only give 1 star is that this product is not fit for it's purpose.
