The antenna mount is secured in place on the roof by a single bolt and to get to it requires the confidence to loosen the headlining. This is achieved by pulling the rubber trim that the boot lid rests against away from the headlining. Then it is possible to reach inside, disconnect the antenna lead and undo the bolt. Replacement is the the procedure in reverse.I am surprised that the only protection against water Ingress is the lip that is incorporated into the antenna base. I would personally add a ring of sealant on the inside of the lip , offer up to the roof but not tighten it down properly but wait until the sealant has begun to go off. This forms a "washer". I'm absolutely not recommending any particular sort of sealant. Just think, the radio aerial is mounted in a very exposed place.Pushing the headlining back into the weather seal is a matter of patience and using a plastic scraper or similar. This is a nicely made antenna base but it comes sealed in a plastic bag devoid of any instructions. It suggests it it is aimed at the trade and not for DIY. However, all it requires is a bit of confidence.
