This was a lesson on the term "false economy". Yes, they're cheap. Yes they fit! Yes, the fairing is only lightweight......but.....you try tightening these or putting them on any part of your bike that actually has any pressure against it and you're screwed (pun intentional). The very first one rounded off instantly. It wasn't a massive problem because they might as well be made of cheese....I was able to easily slice a groove in the top and get the bolt out with a screwdriver. I decided to proceed with using these, anyway (more fool me), assuming that id just become strong...(i have been more phyical lately, but im apparently still weak as paper), and continue more gently and not as tight.....and success! The fairing on my machine looked great! Then I went for a ride on it.. and dicovered that by not tightening them as much, the noise was horrendous. I honestly thought something major had gone ... after an hour at ("defo just 70mph, officer")several of the bolts had broken or the heads had sheared off. Just from riding! Nothing touched the fairing to have snapped them, they just could not handle the windspeed. These are not just rubbish, but they're dangerous rubbish. I decided to remove them all, but another 3 bolt heads snapped off, and im not even sure how to describe this but on most of the others the thread came off when I tried to remove the bolt. Have you ever heard of anything like it? No, me neither. It's now going to take me an age to fix, the damage these have caused, but I'm just thankful that I didn't use these for anything other than the fairing, and that was sketchy enough. If you are thinking of buying these, I absolutely beg you not to! Do not become another statistic! Do not put your family through that pain! Just spend a few more quid and get bolts made of something solid, which might actually hold your bike together. And if that isn't enough reason for you......think about the fact that you'll have to do like me, and spend a MASSIVE amount of time repairing this again in the future. @Amazon....you really need to do some thing about these because they absolutely will result in someone dying.
