I do enjoy this processor however for the price it would make more sense to buy a “new” Genoa series epyc processor, for about $2000 you can get a 96 core 192 thread 9654. But I bought this specifically for fun and overclocking, I am still fine tuning my cooling solution before I can get into any advanced overclocking but the chip out of the box handles workloads and games well.

This processor fit a niche for my home/business use case. It is performant enough in single core to make a please desktop experience but has the PCIE lanes to be able to support our peripherals and eventually be retired into one of our small business virtualization servers. No issues so far although memory tuning on the platform can be a bit of a headache if you're looking to really optimize performance, which you should, at this price point.
