These fit me very well. I got an XL and I have large feet ( size 10) and average sized legs. I usually take a wide calf fit boot. These work best with a shoe with a small heel. I tried them on with a trainer type show but ideally the elastic that runs underneath your foot needs to sit in the arch area between your heel and the ball of the foot. The chaps are made of a nice quality leather at the front, and a sturdy knit fabric at the back. They are very warm and very comfortable on. The look you get, once they are fully on and zipped up etc, is of a well fitting pair of boots. The zip is very sturdy, and all fastenings etc worked perfectly well. I can recommend these.

First off, you really must read the measuring guide before you order or you could be very disappointed. I did measure carefully and the size I ordered is exactly right. These half chaps look terrific and if they really are machine washable, as described, then I can't fault them. The fit is snug but because there is a stretchy panel they are extremely comfortable. The bottom strap loops under your boot and then you do up the double-ended (strong) zip and snap the little straps over, top and bottom. They really will keep your legs an awful lot cleaner as well as providing quite a reasonable amount of protection. And they look good too. Very good news.
