This switch is NC. NO switch don't work on early Kubota tractors.

This works fine on my Universal M-18 marine engine. And a lot cheaper that ordering from Westerbeke.

I read where another person had a similar problem as I did when they attempted to install this sending unit on their zero turn. I was installing on a Kubota tractor, and I had a similar problem in that it was very difficult to thread into the block, and then immediately started to bind. I'm not a certified mechanic, but I don't think it makes sense to file down threads and then crank away - that's a good way to get something broken off, and then you're in a real mess.I also noticed that the base of the switch was fatter than the flat opening that was in the block - so even if had not had a binding problem with threading it on, I would still have had a problem with torquing the part flush to the base, which is just asking for an oil leak. This part may work for some applications, but was not a good fit for my B7610, and I would caution anyone with a similar tractor to steer clear of this aftermarket part. I'm headed to Kubota on Monday, even though their price is twice as much for the OEM part.
