The bar is actually pretty nice. If you want a light that mimics rotation without using a halogen bar then this is it. Has 7 flash patterns 4 are rotational.There are only two things I would've done differently. One is put more LEDs in the reflectors so it's brighter during the day. The second is made it a little bit taller so you can see the bar from the back of my SUV. The sloped roof and the thin profile of this light make it hard to see from the back. Other than that it's actually a really good bar. It's pretty bright and I love the rotation.

We like the caution light would advise not to look into the lights very bright.

I really expected to be as impressed by this as I was by the company's other lights here on Amazon, sadly, that isn't the case. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying it's a poor quality light, it's a very good quality light, it's just lacking in many respects. The patterns used on this light just duplicate what they use on their magnetic rechargeable beacon but this unit has two beacons and that opens up so many additional possibilities that they overlooked but that other manufacturers have. For example, the triple flash setting just does the same flashes on both beacons, but alternating the pattern between the two should have been an option. With the rotating patterns, again, both beacons rotate the same and there are no options to have them rotate in opposite directions, or perhaps have one rotate while one does a triple flash. Individual controls for each beacon in the housing would have allowed this.Then we get to the matter of the beam angle and the unit height. In an effort to make it as low as possible and reduce the chance of it being blown off the roof they've made the unit only a couple of inches high and did away with the suction cups that their cordless beacon has. While improving the aerodynamics is usually a good thing, here it results in being unable to attach it to aluminum or fiberglass surfaces, the light having a very narrow viewing angle, and, worst of all, the low height means the vertical spread of the beam is quite narrow. Since vehicle roofs usually have some curve to them to facilitate water drainage and snow removal, unless the light is precisely located on a flat spot the angle of the beam may be directed too far downward for it to be properly seen at a distance. In my testing I found this to be true even if the unit was well placed but the vehicle was on a hill. A wider vertical angle beam would be a great improvement on this light, particularly when it is used on construction vehicles on uneven ground.In short, it's a good product, made from quality materials by a good manufacturer, it just needs a bit of tweaking to take it from good to great.

Bright LED’s can be seen for miles. Well made and solid unit with very strong magnets. Won’t come off without force yet the rubber wraps on magnets save your truck from scratching. Waterproof and easy to control lighting effects. Highly recommend!
