Talk about easy. I plugged it in, inserted the tubing and the sensor. It took a minute to figure out all the menu options, but I really only needed to hit temp up or down. The additional options will be useful as I advance further with my efforts. It doesn't seem to get too hot on the base. It is very quiet. It feels solid. I haven't noticed any smells or other oddities. Just plug it on it.

Used this for a 8x4x6 grow tent. Does amazing, depending on fan settings it’s surprisingly quiet. Very user friendly and keeps my temperatures in their target ranges (70F-74F)The temperature probes are extremely accurate and match up almost exactly as what my hydrometer reads.Love this brand!

Excellent addition to my other AC Infinity products. Hose attachment gives you a lot of options. Controls easy to use and monitor.

This little unit works so well! I bought a second one for a second tent! Every item from AC Infinity works flawlessly with the controller. 1st tent is a 4x4 with 7 plants the second tent is a 2x4 for flowering. It keeps my 4x4 perfect so I know it will handle the 2x4 tent! In the APP, select "buffer" I have a 6°F buffer, so it doesn't just turn on and off repeatedly. So my Temp is set for 75°F, add 6° and the heater will rise to 81°F and shut off but will not kick back on until it reaches 75°. If there was no buffer the temp will be set at 81°F and as soon as it drops below 81°F it turns back on. If you have the tent in the basement or somewhere else that is cool you definitley need to use the buffer.
