Als Produkttester habe ich das Diktiergerät von ZIPCIDE kostenlos erhalten, bemühe mich aber um einen neutralen und zuverlässigen Testbericht.Kurz: gute Aufnahme, verwirrende BlinklichterPositiv: relativ rauschfreie Aufnahmen bei einer Entfernung der Tonquelle von ca. 1-5 Metern, lange Laufzeiten, Abhören ohne PC möglich, 64 GB TF-Card mitgeliefert und auswechselbar, spontane Nutzung als USB-Speicherlaufwerk, Blinklichter informieren über den Ladezustand des Akkus, umfangreiches Zubehör beigelegt (u.a. Ersatzminen, In-Ear-Kopfhörer), Aufnahme-Konfiguration ab Werk brauchbar.Neutral: Bauform des Geräts (Schreibstift) ermöglicht unbemerkte Aufnahmen, vergleichbar mir einem "zufällig" herumliegenden Handy.Negativ: Genaue Aufnahmekonfiguration nur über das Bearbeiten einer Konfigurationsdatei möglich. Bedeutung der Blinklichter kann verwirren. Akku nicht auswechselbar.Im Prinzip ist die grundsätzliche Bedienung einfach: Langes Drücken des oberen Knopfes startet die Aufnahme in recht guter Qualität. Erneutes langes Drücken beendet die Aufnahme. Anschließend kann der Stift aufgeschraubt und ein Adapterkabel eingesteckt werden, das entweder an den PC angeschlossen wird (Zugriff auf die Tondateien über ein neues USB-Laufwerk) oder es wird das beigelegte Abspiel-Steuerkabel und daran ein Kopfhörer angeschlossen. Nach erneutem Drücken des oberen Knopfes lassen sich dann die Aufnahmen auch ohne PC abhören, wobei die Plus- bzw- Minustaste bei kurzem Drücken die Aufnahmedatei wechselt, bei langem Drücken lauter oder leiser stellt.Das Gerät besitzt eine rote und eine blaue kleine LED. Schaut man im falschen Winkel auf das Gerät, ist evtl. eine der beiden nicht erkennbar. Beim Einschalten blinken beide 1-4 mal, um über den Akkustand zu informieren. Anschließend leuchtet die rote noch 3 mal, um den Aufnahmebeginn anzuzeigen. Während der Aufnahme leuchtet nichts. Drück man während der Aufnahme kurz den oberen Knopf, wird die Aufnahme unterbrochen und die rote LED leuchtet als Pausensignal dauerhaft. Erneutes kurzes Drücken beendet die Pause und das rote Licht verlöscht wieder. Langes Drücken des oberen Knopfes beendet die Aufnahme und die rote und die blaue LED leuchten dreimal, um das Aufnahmeende anzuzeigen. Ebenso muss der obere Knopf nach Einstecken eines Kopfhörers gedrückt werden. Dann blickt die rote LED 4x schnell und danach die blaue langsam, solange abgespielt wird. Wird das Abspielen durch Drücken des Knopfes beenden, leuchtet die rote LED noch dreimal auf. Wenn nichts leuchtet, ist der Voice-Recorder entweder aus oder zeichnet gerade auf (zum Unterscheiden ggf. kurz die Pausen-Funktion aktivieren!).Falls die Aufnahmedateien im Dateinamen die falsche Zeit nennen, muss die korrekte Zeit in die Datei MRECSET.TXT eingetragen werden. Dies muss erneut erfolgen, wenn der Akku des Stiftes komplett leer war. Der Stift übernimmt die neuen Werte, wenn er nach Abspeichern der Datei vom PC getrennt wird. Die interne Uhr des Stiftes läuft dann korrekt weiter, bis der Akku leer ist.Da der Akku nicht austauschbar ist, wird das Gerät am Ende seiner Laufzeit zu schwerer entsorgbarem Elektroschrott. Ich ziehe immer einen Stern ab, wenn Akkus ohne überzeugende Gründe nicht entnehmbar sind.

Qualitätsware! Der Stift ist hervorragend als Diktiergerät. Klein und angenehm in der Hand. Inklusive allen Kabeln, Kopfhörer, Speicherkarte und Ersatzminen. Schreibt sehr flüssig.Soundqualität und Mikrofon hervorragend.Vielen Dank das es so ein Produkt gibt.

Works as it should

Das Diktiergerät macht genau, was es soll, und überzeugt mit einer klaren Aufnahmequalität – selbst bei leichtem Hintergrundrauschen bleiben Stimmen gut verständlich. Die Bedienung ist einfach und übersichtlich, was die Nutzung angenehm unkompliziert macht.Besonders praktisch finde ich die lange Akkulaufzeit und die Möglichkeit, Aufnahmen schnell und problemlos über USB auf den Computer zu übertragen. Das Gerät ist kompakt, robust und liegt gut in der Hand, was es vielseitig einsetzbar macht – ideal für Interviews, Meetings oder Notizen.Alles in allem ein sehr zuverlässiges Diktiergerät, das sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert ist. Ich würde es jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Although the device works it was received without any 64GB micro SD card. I wanted to return this device and could have, but realised that postage cost to return it would be more expensive than buying a new micro SD card, which I had to do in this inctance. So please be aware that if you buy this product you may not receive a micro SD card.

I like the controls and the size of this recorder better than another recorder I have. However, the recording quality is not as good. The internal microphone on this one seems too sensitive and if you're holding the recorder and moving it around in your hand, it picks up that noise as static or distortion. There's a “line in” jack on this recorder so you can plug a microphone into it. Maybe that would help with some of the distortion and noise that is picked up by the internal mic. I believe it takes a 3.5 mm jack. The record, stop, and play/pause buttons are on the front of the device, well marked, and easily accessed. The shape of this device allows it to have a larger screen compared to thinner recorders. That means you can see more information without it having to scroll or be cut off. One potential issue is that this has no external memory. Many recorders that are available come with a micro SD card slot so you can add more memory as you need. That is not an option with this device. It only has internal memory of 32 Gb. That should be adequate for my needs but if you need more space for your recordings, this could potentially become an issue. One minor annoyance was that, right out of the box, the device was set to German language. No offense to our German friends, but maybe these could be set to the prevailing language in the location to where they were being delivered? That would help everyone. FYI, if that happens to you, here’s how to change the language (as long as your menus are identical to the one on my recorder):1. Press the M button on the side. If it doesn’t put you on the main menu, press the STOP button on the front of the device until you get to the screen that has the silhouette of a face with 3 squares below it2. Use the forward or back buttons to switch between the Record, SYS (system – looks like a cogwheel), or Music menus. Select the SYS menu and press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the front3. Hopefully, that will put you at the top of the System menu. “Language” is the second option. Use the Forward button on the side of the device to move down one option and press PLAY/PAUSE button4. Move through the list with the Forward and Backward buttons on the side. Select your language from the list and press the PLAY/PAUSE button to make your selection.Hopefully, you will now be able to read the menus. Once I got it set to English I was able to go through the settings and set it up the way I wanted it without even referring to the user manual. Labels for all the buttons are on the back clearly marked in white that's easily read against the black plastic case. One thing to remember is that the STOP button on the front acts like a BACK button on a lot of other devices. So when in doubt, if you want to go up a menu level, press the STOP button. It also has a spot in the center of the top where you can put a lanyard. It's not very big, so it would have to be fairly thin string, but you can attach a lanyard to this. The device is light but still has some mass to it. It feels kind of substantial like it might survive being tossed in pockets and bags and things like that and carried around. Overall, I prefer the USE of this recorder compared to my other device. The screen is easier to read and the buttons are better labeled and located. Unfortunately, the recording quality isn’t as good so you have to make a compromise. I may see if I have a microphone that would work with this to see if that will improve the recording quality.

This little recorder is great for recording meetings, audio for videos, voice notes, dictation, and lots more. I like it mainly because it's not an app on my phone with all the other distractions. It does what it does and nothing else, which is what I want it to do.It has variable speed playback (not very fast, though; maybe 1.5 speed at most), automatic voice-activated recording, A/B repeat function, and 32GB of internal memory. It even has password protection if you need it for your files. I haven't tried it, but there's also a basic EQ-presets function for when you upload and listen to music on it. It's also USB rechargeable and, if I'm not mistaken, you can hook it up to your computer with USB. I have a Mac and haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it would work.Navigation and directions are a bit clunky, but I got the hang of it in about 15 minutes of playing around with it with minimal need to look at the manual. Includes the recorder, USB cable, earbuds which (I think) also have a microphone on them, and the manual.The speaker gets quite loud and the sound of the files is crisp and clear. I keep it in my writing bag to record ideas I have for blog posts, stories, projects, and more. With around 2000 hours of recording time, I don't have to worry about ever running out of space for my ideas.One confusing element I've found: The box mentions MP3/WAV, but only records in WAV format as far as I can tell. The MP3 refers to the ability to play back MP3 files, not record them. Still, I definitely recommend this if you're looking for something portable, easy to manage, and with plenty of space—that's not your phone!

At first handling, I have to admit, I thought it was cheap garbage because it is so light. Even in my weak hands it's really light. The display defaulted to German, which, fortunately for me, I am reasonably proficient. Once I figured out what the MODE button actually was, everything went smoothly from there. Many of the controls are fairly intuitive, so once you're familiar with them, then you're good to go.In addition to the recorder and USB cable, it comes with a set of earphones. They aren't bad, but I hate earphones. It irritates my ears and is really annoying. Those who don't have such problems will likely enjoy them. The plugs for headphones and external microphone are standard, so finding mike and earphones won't be a problem. Even with the internal mike, the recording sounds good. The two sample songs also sound good through the speaker.The instructions are not the best I've seen. They are fairly bad. The MODE button is identified at the MENU key, the Earphone Jack on the diagram is actually the hole for a lanyard and vice versa. The text is the usual poor English that hasn't seen an editor.All-in-all, this is a good lightweight recorder for use in meetings, lectures, or general note taking. The ability to download the sound files for archival is a real boon!
