I didn't know the strength required to close it. Not good if you have arthritis in the hands. I had to use a hammer to close after getting it through the mesh.

I’ve been unable to separate them to make them “reusable”. Also the little barbs that are suppose to interlock tend to bend or break when I was putting them through a single layer of tarp. They aren’t easy to snap shut. I had to use a rubber mallet in an attempt to get them to work. All in all a waste of money…go with the metal grommets instead. At least those you are deluded int thinking it will be easy.
