First surprise when taking the plastic wrapping off was the excess glue etc on the side of the roll, suggestion it had not be cut well (I guess they are manufactured as one very wide roll and then cut) which makes it appear a cheap brand.I wasn't able to rip if with bare hands, but making a nick with teeth did the trick. So scissors or blade not needed but "tearable by hand" - if you have sharp fingernails maybe, to get it started. Not to bad to be honest.It's quite thin (compared to duck tape) which makes it more shapable perhaps.It feels expensive for what it is, but happy to have it in my kit.
