This PCI Card is absolutely ASTONISHING !!!I have connected my New PC with my 20 years OLD PC in matter of a few minutes , in FULL 10Gbit speeds , without even placing any drivers. It was pure PLUG & PLAY situation !!!Totally AMAZING.

Super einfache Installation sowohl in meinem alten PC als auch in meinem PowerEdge. Geräte via DAC verbunden, klappt einwandfrei und wird auch vom Betriebssystem problemlos erkannt.

Die Karte läuft ohne weitere Treiberinstallation etc. unter Proxmox 8.3. Die Geschwindigkeit von 10gbit wird zumindest in Speedtests nahezu vollständig erreicht.Es liegen ein normaler und ein kurzer Befestigungsrahmen bei.

Conforme à la description, attention quand même a bien regarder les images du produit pour voir le QR code qui dirige vers le driver indispensable à la détection du produit sur le PC, autrement il est très compliqué de s'y retrouver entre les innombrables versions de puces et de drivers correspondant

Ho acquistato due schede di rete Intel X540-T2 per effettuare un upgrade alla mia rete domestica a 10G, sfruttando la connettività FTTH TIM a 10G. Le schede sono dotate di due porte RJ45 e offrono un'ottima connettività a 10GbE.La X540-T2 si è dimostrata una scelta eccellente per il mio setup: una scheda è stata installata su un PC/server con UNRAID su PCIe 16x, mentre l’altra è stata inserita in un PC che funge da modem/router autocostruito con PFSENSE su PCIe 8x. In entrambi i casi, le schede hanno funzionato perfettamente, garantendo una connessione stabile e performante a 10G.Il dissipatore fornito è di tipo passivo, quindi non genera alcun rumore. Tuttavia, è importante assicurarsi di avere un case con una buona ventilazione, anche se la scheda non scalda in modo eccessivo durante l’uso.Uno degli aspetti più interessanti di questa scheda è il prezzo: ho acquistato entrambe le unità a circa 80 euro ciascuna, il che ha rappresentato un ottimo affare. La scelta è stata dettata anche dal fatto che, con lo stesso prezzo di una singola X550, ho potuto acquistare due X540.È importante notare che, come da specifiche Intel, la X540-T2 supporta solo velocità di 10GbE, 1GbE e 100Mb. Se si necessita di connettività intermedie come 2.5G o 5G, è necessario optare per la X550. Nel mio caso, avendo una rete full 10G, questa limitazione non ha rappresentato un problema.Le schede X540 non sono più in produzione da Intel, quindi la disponibilità sul mercato potrebbe ridursi nel tempo. Se si trova un’offerta conveniente, è un’ottima opportunità per chi desidera aggiornare la propria rete con un budget contenuto.Conclusione: La Intel X540-T2 è una scheda di rete affidabile, performante e dal prezzo vantaggioso per chi necessita di una connettività 10G pura. Consigliata a chi ha già un’infrastruttura 10G e cerca un'opzione economica e funzionale.

I combined the 4 1Gb ports on my Synology 2419+ to get 4Gb throughout with an ubiquiti router.I have 12 10Tb disks in raid 5.The speed was a lousy 100Mb/s at best.Now I put this 10Gb X520-DA-1 card in the synology and connected it to an SFP+ port on my switch.Now I get a minimum and stable of 200Mb/s but I think thats the max of the disks combined.I'm very happy because an original card from Synology costs about 270€!!!!

Installation des Treibers auf Windows 11 war mit dem Video sehr einfach und hat direkt geklappt.

Läuft sofort. Durchsatz hervorragend auch ohne Jumbo-Frames. Wird nicht heiß und halt Low-profile Adapter beiliegen. Windows/Linux alles super. Funktionierte leider nicht mit meiner QNAP NAS.

Endlich bezahlbares 10Gbe, welches auch funktioniert.Soll bei mir mit Sophos UTM (Home, eingener Rechner) seinen Dienst tun, bzw. tat sie schon kurz zum testen (wow... rund 9Gbit Traffic, von Extern nach Intern, durch die UTM, mit IPS immernoch ca. 3Gbit).Ich hatte dafür so nen schönen schweren Industrie-PC vorgesehen (NISE 3600e) aber der hat nur PCIe x4 und - das ist leider der Killer für den NISE: Die NIC wird da drin zu heiss!Also ja... bekloppt ne UTM mit 10Gbe im privaten Umfeld zu betreiben - aber nun - muss man nicht bewerten :-)Ich hätte locker mit der halben Performance (wegen PCIe x4) leben können aber die Hitze, die das Ding abwirft...- Auch wenn die Karte leer ist, sprich KEINE SFP+ Module gesteckt hat, wird der Kühler sicher so 50 Grad heiss, wenn die Karte Luft bekommt. In dem geschlossenen Gehäuse wird sie dann so heiss, dass der süsse Duft der leidenden Elektronik vernehmbar wird, wenn man das Gehäuse wieder öffnet. Zudem ging die Karte dann ins Throtteling, sprich die Datenrate sank und sank, je länger der Test lief.Das ist schon blöd und schränkt die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten ein.JA, klar.. ist Server-Hardware.. da soll genug Luft umgewälzt werden... alles kein Thema. Aber soviel Hitze für den Leerlauf - das reicht nicht für n Öko-KleberLeider dafür einen Stern Abzug...Für den Betrieb hatte ich "sparsame" passive DACs angehängt - also keine Kupfer-SFP+ Module!
