These are real leaves -- NOT synthetic. The listing description is inaccurate but considering the price at $18, it's a pretty decent deal. However, don't make the same mistake as I did. I was in auto-pilot mode and opened it immediately without giving it some thought... when I don't need to use them until April. Doh! I'm hoping that resealing them and keeping them in the fridge will help them "keep". It's probably also a good idea to try to preserve them by drying them out. Luckily, I don't plan on using them for food, I am going to use them as decor for a Filipino-themed presentation and booth.Besides the incorrect description and the worries of spoilage, the leaves look great. They have a nice, deep green color -- again, a different from what's listed but they're lovely regardless. The size of the leaves are pretty uniform and consistent, and the leaves are pretty thick and strong.

2025-02-03. Sushi Leaves by KICHOUSE. Decor leaves. 100 pcs. These are real leaves and not polyester ones! They came vacuum sealed and measure between 8.25 - 8.5 inches in length and 2.25-inches wide. Since these are live leaves, they're ideal for a one time use. If you plan on using them often, like once a day, you can probably preserve them by keeping them submersed in water, but eventually they will die off.The good news is that this is a pack of 100pcs, so there's plenty to go around. The bad news is that it all comes in ONE vacuum sealed bag, so if you can't use them all in one shot, you'll need to seal them as best you can and keep them cooled to slow down the wilting process. If you have a vacuum sealer, seal and store what you don't use as soon as possible. These do make nice decorative pieces and will definitely up your game if you make sushi at home. Unlike restaurants, we don't ensure consistency, rather we make the most of our sushi grade fish with how we cut it. We aim for 2.5-inch length of rice paired with a 3-inch length of fish to ensure we get a complete drape, and we found that optimal optics require that we placed our sushi pieces on a diagonal. Rolls were single file along the entire length of the leaf. These are nice and will definitely add some pop to your presentation, but I wish they came in smaller sealed packs.
