It has a metal plate in a sweat band. I was bruising my forearm when I was using kettle bells. This stops it from happening.

Have had these a little over two years, and used them several times a week for much of this time.Other reviewers said they were too tight, but it wasn't an issue for me. I suppose it depends on how sensitive you are, but mine easily stretch and don't restrict blood flow, wrist movement, etc.They are quite durable and had an unexpected benefit of stopping sweat from running down onto my hands so much, which is great for longer KB sessions. I use them mainly for swing clean & press and front squats. Completely eliminated tenderness (light bruising) which was happening with longer/high rep sessions.

Recently started to use KB in my workouts, with being a “rookie” I was getting bruises after each time I touched KB lolThese wrist bands are pretty helpful and definitely reduced damage from KB hitting your forearm, why 4 out of 5, bc plastic, that inside wrist bands has tendency move on the side while you doing certain exercises. But overall I like it

Surprisingly small, but they do the job. Unfortunately require frequent adjusent as they move around your wrist and arm as you train. Good value for money.
